Fire In the Sky?

Is this CT setup named after the book by Eric Bergerud?  I find this rather interesting as Eric is a member of our squad in AH.

Absolutely, and I gave Eric credit in the message of the day, stating that his book was my inspiration for the set up.  I hope he didn't take exception to it.  Pass on to him that I consider it the best book on the subject I've ever read, and re-read, and re-read:).  I am a budding author myself, and greatly respect his work.

Well even though I think his book is truly excellent, we should be sparing of our praise lest his head swell too much.

I thought that all my fans in the CT would like to know that Eric is a personal freind of mine.   He will most likely be at my house for dinner this weekend.   anything you guys want me to tell him?

Yeah, tell him to slam your head into the floor with a pile-driver move.
Also, tell him to destroy your computer with a sledgehammer.

"Touched with Fire" is also an incredible book.  I can't say much about his Vietnam books as I have not read them.

What's his AH call-sign, anyway?  Just want to know so I can throw a his way next time I run into him on line.  I for one would like to get him to the next AH convention to give us a talk on the subject (or any subject related to WWII history, for that matter).  Float the idea to him, guys.

I thought "Fire in the sky" was about some lumberjack that got kidnapped by aliens in the seventies. At least thats the plot of the movie named fire in the sky that claims to be based on a true story.

Imagine my surprise when I read all your posts on the author, and how it inspired the CT setup....I was going wtf?? I mean I know some people think the N1Ks behave like UFO's but I thought it was a bit far...

LOL
