I thought Pokie did the Rumble terrain. Pokie is an independent terrain artist. He and Nash collaborated on that one, I thought.

I got a little (very little) fly over time in this terrain.  It's got lots of new tricks you're going to like.

banana, real life intrudes on things we would really like to finish, but sometimes can't.  I prefer to cheer our artists on.

to all the map makers.  I'm not artist enough to map the maps, but I'm artist enough to appreciate them.

banana, you do have a point.
Just like the many terrains the CM did that HAD to be changed with ALL the version changes that rendered the maps Inopperable, The version changes weren't just bias to the Cm's maps but mine as well:( I did finish many maps and submitted them to HTC, and got No responce.
BTW I "thought " i did help with the tiles for Stalingrad, eto, and the rumble.

I have helped, and extended my hand to the CM team on every occasion I can. I have 10 bears and Jihad and the CM team both publically on the BBS and privately on their Maps. I am probably the MOST vocal person in the TE folder, go back 2 plus years and see for yourself.
NO Offense taken, And I never wanted to over spotlite the CM,CT, or any of the Mapmakers. You think for 1 second i don't know what dedication and aggravation go into making a map?

I am pretty good with art programs and can make tiles, but the TE objects and feild, depots, etc. I have never dabbled in...UNTIL now. I asked many questions in the TE folder and got very few answers with the exception of a few.  Pokie has stepped up to the plate and has been helping me get up to Par with the Object part of the TE.  I've ALWAYS been there for the CM team, and I ALWAYS will be. I've NEVER felt it was an "us" or "them" issue. I'm sorry by your posting you feel it is.

I will continue to extend my hand to any Branch of the CM team, if it helps improve AH ( no matter how many times it gets slapped).  And I will continue to give a Hardy to All the CM team's hard efforts. I was and always will be here to help anyway i can.

BTW, I did ask for screen shots not to be posted because I was sending this map to Hblair for CT use, and WANTED the CM team to get the "Glory".

10bears
Jihad
Redwing
sundog
Verm
and any others I your effort!

Just incase you guys Never saw any of my on the BB's

NUTTZ
P.S. I was In the Terrrain making team, I am a cancer survivor and was having heart troubles at that time, so I bailed out not to slow down the team.

Yep, that's a pretty screen shot, but come back and show us a FINISHED terrain, then we'll start the back slapping.

I'm amazed at how you guys fawn over NUTTZ's partially finished terrains, yet forget that he has not finished one of these beauties...ever.

Instead of a round of applause for another NUTTZ terrain that will likely never be finished, how about some recognition for the guys who have been busting their bellybutton for over a year, producing beautiful terrains that we can fly on today, and have been flying on for the past few months.

namely, and in no particular order:

10Bears
Jihad/Weazel
Redwing
Sundog
Verm

These guys don't post pretty screen shots, they produce results. Go look at the downloads page on HTC's website, and you'll see who is blowing smoke, and who is really making hay.

NUTTZ,

I'm sorry if my post sounded like a personal attack against you. I guess I have just been frustrated at the lack of gratittude expressed by the community as a whole for the great work that the many artists of AH have produced. I felt that you seem to be the only one who gets the recognition from the community, so I was intending for my post to drum up some "attaboys" for them. After rereading my post, I admit that it went too far in singling you out for criticism.

My appologies to you, I know you do a lot behind the scenes.  I hope this won't sour the relationship between us.

In my post I said No offense was taken, becuase I whole heartingly agree. I Know when i was helping 10bears with Stalingrad I know i put in hours and hours and hours, and he must have atleast put in 300-500 hours on Stalingrad. And you would figure alittle more people would of sent him a But  "HEY guess who Mr X is?" post is reaching 100 replies.

Sadly Negativity on these boards gets way more attention.
If you had a Superbowl party and One friend stayed and cleaned the dishes and one crapped on your floor, 20 years from now you'll never remember ANYONE helped with the dishes ,but you will ALWAYS remember who crapped on the floor.

Once again No offense taken.

NUTTZ

Actually, the terrain looks better in person than that screenshot if ya can believe that. Its gourgous. And you would not believe the way cool brid....oops, its secret. The only critique I would give it is some of the feilds are a bit far flung and might need a few "primitive" feilds and depots inbetween.

I think everyone thats seen Stalingrad has congradulated profusely 10bears on that work of art. I had no Idea that Nuttz had anything to do with it. I actually gave a big ol to some guy with bear in his name on mistake:D thinking it was him!

We all need new terrains all the time. Thanks to anyone, including HTC, who as anything at all to do with getting us new ones.

Big ol Hug to banana for bein a man with that apology.

Nah, not really.
The CM team have excellent mapmakers and can test within the team, each picking a part and the testing goes smooth and quickly behind closed doors. "I" on the other hand, can only ask people like yourself, to please come into H2h were I can open my map and get testing and feedback.
BUT , that opens up that people see it before it can be submitted, Something IMO i think HTC frowns upon.

WE all know how secretive HTC likes to be:)

So, if anyone is to blame, Lets just blame it on the  FDB's, like everyone else does:)
