Spys Suck

Whats with the spying? Found one on RW today, just "listening in". He was a member of a squad from another county, i wont say his name but the people on tonight know who i'm talking about. anyway made some shady story bout how he changed counties in the TA and it carried over to the MA. That doesnt happen! How long was he on RW? who knows. I was hosting and kicked him off 3 times but he kept coming back! just the fact that he was on our county on our RW without ever typing or saying anything and not even flying! When we asked him about it he said he was just "waiting at my keyboard till the time runs out". Please.
I guess some people will argue that in the war they had spies or some lame stuff like that but comeon people, dont do petty stuff like this. keep it real, dont make everyone have to start pm'ing eachother and typing on squad channels to plan stuff. this is not the point.

IIRC, 100 series channels can only be used by your country.

Just an observer here, but if said squad was using proper RW channels then accused spy could not spy on them....could he?

Dont use RW channels above 200.  Channels under 200 are country specific only.

Hog, also just noticed you are from Rockville, grew up there and went to school at T.S. Wootton HS ... sis graduated from Rockville HS

We were on channel 160. He switched to our country and maybe allready had 160 set from bish land. He lurked on that channel and repeatedly rejoined it when ejected. He was not flying he was just hanging out.

I thought about this for a bit.

I was on that RW chan as well and you're right - the pilot in question would not leave the chan as we were trying to discuss strategy and tactics. It was aggrevating and I can understand the frustration.

However, if I were in X's place, I would have had a good time listening in on what it's like. I'd love to hear one of Ripsnort's missions going off, because it would be interesting and different. However, I would have let the guys know and hopefully my word that I wouldn't update my country on the enemy strategy would suffice.

we were using our own RW channel, witch was under 200. he had changed his country and was listing to use without letting us know. he was also of course watching everything we typed on country and room channels.
And blitz, were talking about the bish's blitz on us, not you  .
tis ture, bish had a huge blitz on us all accross the board. i'm not going to put bish down by saying this wasnt possible without spies, but i'm sure it helped for some bases.

It sounds like whoever that was was just being an ass.  Dunno what you could do to stop that except to have someone with authority monitoring this and warn him with a ban from the arena for a day or two.

I wouldn't call that spying, but it is a good lesson to learn. Making me laugh to remember back when our squad was trying to capture a base using chan 209. Had half the other country tuned I think & telling us goon was on the way. Never been back to 209 since.

Still not sure if the said person was being an bellybutton but it should be looked into since it lowered the respect for his squad in general. (one bad apple...)

Am I under the wrong impression that it's 12 regular 'world' hours until you can change countries or is it 12 'flying' hours in the arena?

/edit - biggun, said pilot had changed countries and was listening on private RW 1## chan. Not the same was 2## chans..

well changing countries & listening on 100+ channel is definately spying if they report it back to the other side. Shame on them, off with there heads!!!
