problem with CH F-16 Combatstick USB
« on: February 08, 2002, 08:10:41 PM »
Every so often (1/2 to 3 hours) the stick just goes dead, and control input to AH is locked up.  No stick functions work, buttons, hats, or flight controls.  The USB Pro Throttle and USB Pro Pedals continue to work.  It takes a cold boot to get the stick functions working.

(It's done this on two different motherboards, with two versions of Control Manager.)

Anyone else seen this?

Go to CH Products web site and they will direct you to a down load that will fix a micrsoft prob they have with fast cpu's & USB

Once at their site go to :

Tech Support

F.A.Q.

IBM PC knowledge base

then select your operating system

from there you should be able to find your way to the M.S. fis for your O.S.

Thanks for the tip.

I did the Mickeysoft Win98SE upgrade, and so far...so good.  About four hours without a lockup.

IMHO win98se appears to be the best OS to play this game.  For using throttles etc. it is painless to setup.....and uses speedkeys with no problems.

Try a self powered (plugs into the wall) USB hub for all your usb stick stuff. I fixed allot of problems with my CH F-16 combatstick USB by powered hub.

Tried that Lizard.  Thanks for the suggestion, though.
