Oh yeah, then there's that whole mormon thing.  "The Fire Within"; "Children of Light" -- those aren't just olympic slogans, they're integral parts of Mormon theology.  Jeezus!

At least Our Great Leader has had more success then any other previous world leader in trying to turn the Olympics into a national event.  At the very least the IOC should force the US delegation in future Olympics to lower its flag before that of host countries.

OK, now North Americans will get any medal in any competition if they'll ask.

If I was in place of that Canadian pair - I'll better burn in hell then get that "second" set of gold medals.

Russian NOC chairman reacted only after they "awarded" another gold to that canadians, so they'll probably stop crying. Poor bastard. He even turned off his cellular to escape Russian journalists...

It's no honour. No glory. Next time they'll not even skate, but cry and beg for medals.

Such people should be disqualified for doubting a jury's decision, and deprived of their awards.

Russian Vice Prime Minister Valentina Maviyenko stated that it is no more then "dirty racket" (gryaznaya voznya). Only a woman said what men should say.

Also, please, note that all this scandal stared when Canadian Prime-Minister visited Russia...

I guess I’m naive, I’d really hoped that this kinda crap had ended when the wall came down.
It used to be this way at every Olympic event where there where judges, (gymnastics, etc) always the controversy about biased judges.

Personally I’m pissed at this spineless French judge who says she was 'pressured' into giving low scores to the Canadians, why the hell couldn't she have drug her whiny bellybutton forward and reported the pressure before the event took place

Last I heard from Sale and Pelletier, they said that they were satisfied... this before the IOC changed the awards. The outrage came from the fans and the media. Figure skating judges have always been suspected of foul play and favortism. It's the nature of the game.

Of COURSE they were satisfied. The publicity surrounding this whole affair translates into MILLIONS of dollars in endorsements for them. Getting "jobbed" out of their gold medal, and the ensuing turmoil and publicity that has followed, makes the Canadian pair the most marketable of all the Winter Olympians. Stay tuned to your TV sets- you will soon see Sale and Pelletier pushing everything from chewing gum to sanitary napkins.
I have to agree with Boroda, at least to a point. Roy Jones is now asking for a gold medal over HIS hose job in Seoul. At what point does this all end?? 20 years after the fact, at least as far as Roy Jones is concerned? Hey, all judge's decisions should be final.

Of course I'm also sympathetic (look up "sympathy" in the dictionary- it's right between "shit" and "syphlis") to the Canadian people, who havn't had a hell of a lot to cheer about this Olympics. Their hockey team sucks, so if they have a "special" ceremony for the Cannucks and play that most operetic of national anthems, "O Canada," well, I have no doubt there won't be a dry eye in Canada as their anthem is played and their flag is raised and a whole bunch of fur trappers raise their bottles of Molson in salute. It's too bad that Sale and Pelletier don't have the class to refuse this most condenscinding of gold medals. Baroda is righrt- Canadians are classless.
Why don't we turn this into the Special Olympics and give EVERYBODY a gold medal?

Hey Boroda, will you please pull your godamn head out. The judge admitted to cheating. Why the hell shouldnt the Canadian pair get the gold if they were, in fact, better than the Russians. That crap you spew is rediculous.

LOL, millions eh?  We are talking about Canadian athelets right??

As for the rest...well I guess I'll have to chock it up to someone that, I don't believe, knows wtf they are talking about, but has an opinion anyway.

When it comes to class, I don't believe you are fit to judge, I'll let the other 7 billion people in the world to that, as yours is one tiny, misguided opinion amongst so very. very many others.

Have a nice day!:D

Remember the summer olympics in Austrailia when they set the sawhorse deal too low and ruined all those gymnists chances before the realized why they were all falling on their tulips ? That kind of bothered me that the gymnists didn't even get a redo, all they got was an oops, sorry, see you in four years .

personally i blame the french judge. don't think that russia is the only country that ever tried to fix a game.  If the french judge would have just said "NO" this wouldnt have happend.

Hey Thrawn I've got a stock market tip for you. Buy stock in any company that makes tissue paper. The way you Canadians are crying there's bound to be a shortage soon and the price will go up.
