The FA beta is now totally open. Some tweaking still to be done but the overall game is very playable.

Forget it if you do not have a 64 mb graphics card.

Hey pimpjoe.

I played WW2OL for the first time this weekend. It was a blast. Not because the graphics are great or the features are great, I found the game pretty basic in look and feel. It was a blast because I linked up with a squad that was taking some towns and there is nothing like hearing the troops on the ground calling for air support and coming in and shooting down a straifer in your Emil.

When you play different games you begin to develop an appreciation for what each offers. WW2OL to me is all about squads that have to work together to accomplish something. In Fighter Ace squads hang together but the Territorial Combat side of the game is still not that developed. AI tanks are really a joke.

But Fighter Ace is probably the best air to air game right now. I know AH is good too but I think the latest release has jumped ahead.

Guys like Steiga will not know that but that is OK because if you are happy in AH then who cares what else is out there. I am always looking for new and fun experiences so I am willing to travel and try new things.

I love the squad scene in WW2OL. That alone will keep me coming back.

fyi Habu I've been playing wwiiol since july. I'm not a blind fanboy and I've already downloaded FA3 beta versions twice. now be a good sport and... actually do what you want, I couldn't care less

What exactly is it in the game that you dislike so much?

I ask because when I move from one game to another I can tell a lame game from a good one. Fighter Ace is not lame. The graphics are awesome and the flight model is also great. I have heard that WW2OL has a much better flight model from many former WB gamers but all I can say is that flight models are different, you just like what you are used too. I find the WW2OL flight model quite easy and forgiving, much more like the arcade room in Fighter Ace than the real area. This is my real thoughts after flying for 20 or so hours this weekend.

I racked up 20 air to air kills and 6 deaths so I can say that this is not just my first impression.

I can understand that if you were to come to Fighter Ace you would probably get your bellybutton kicked for a while as the planes are different and it takes time to learn, but that is the same as any game.

If you like the graphic and flight model of WW2OL then I cannot imagine why you do not like Fighter Ace.

Also sorry Sikboy if I offended you in the past. You seem not to like me for some reason.

its not open for debate..you wont change any minds here......

WB3 are uppin there prices head over to agw see how they feel about fa3,,,,,ya never know fa3 cheaper and no pesky cockpits gettin in the way.........

give it up enjoy your game let us enjoy ours .........
