Well, Ohno was clearly the winner had he not fallen in those last 15 meters, but I thought the irony of the results was delightful. Besides, Bradbury had a medal coming, I guess. He's been doing this for years, he deserved the reward. And so did Australia, IMO.

S!

I thought I heard during the coverage that they pull 5gs going around that short track. That is impressive.

Hmmm... Also heard them say that Ohno gets up to 35 MPH on the stretch... Is it possible to pull that many Gs at that low of a speed?

LOL, watched the whole thing. If that Ausie wasn't so far behind he woulda been into the wall too. Loved the look on his face as everyone went down in front of him.

Ohno was very gracious too. Said basically that "thats our sport".

Australia's 1st winter medal

I think I would have killed that little kid for taking him out like he did. From the replays it looked like the kid took out his legs on purpose.
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.

No, Mighty, it's a function of the angle. If you look at it carefully, you'll see the kid's arm sweeping across was accidental, as he twisted around. He was falling, that's all.

...And here I thought that all men from Australia were rugged, manly, hard drinking.
Maybe I was right on the latter, but I also doubt it now.

a G is a unit of acceleration. 9.8m/s

The lie in the Foster commercial is when they show us drinking it. We don't. We dont even have Fosters commercials here.

Dancing is rugged and manly, just look at Barishnikov. Errrr. Wait on, hold on, just a minute.....

Its all a lie Animal, sorry. Most Aussies drink VB or XXXX. I've only ever had one Fosters in my entire life, it was when they had a promotion during the olympics. If we won a gold medal, everyone at the bar got a free Fosters. It was a bit crap.

I'm sorry to have destroyed the magic, the Outback Steakhouse will never be the same again (if i ever come over to the US, I'll have to go see this steakhouse). I personally drink west end draught or carlton cold or crown lager, oh hell, any beer but fosters or VB.
