I'm sorry, but I just could not ignore what seems to be a resurgence of really potent whining which has found it's way back on to our board. This will not be a weekly thing, however, when it's so blatant....well, you catch my drift I'm sure.

And I present the following by Urchin.....

Why does the 262 have the DM of a glass bottle?
There is no way in HELL the plane was that fragile in real life.

I've been shot down 3 times in the 262- by a grand total of about 10 whoopee .50 caliber bullets. Why is the plane so fragile? Is it just a perk point sink? Something to fly around in until a strong gust of wind knocks off a half a wing, or a rain drop gets sucked through both of your engines?

The plane is useless as is. You can't fight fighters in it, you can't attack bombers in it (unless you are REAL fond of dying), all you can do is cruise around at 500 mph and look for AFK climbers. How fun.

No, I've not noticed any fragility on the part of the fuselage. What I HAVE noticed is that the engines are one ping wonders, this is intentional and Pyro has stated as much to me. What I've also noticed is that 1 or 2 .50 caliber rounds will remove the 'wingtip' (half the wing), which holds the 262 to under 400 mph in level flight, which is more than slow enough for many fighters to catch it in level flight.

HTC modelled the engines to be fragile on purpose. I suppose they also modelled the wingtip to be just as fragile also on purpose. What I can't figure out is WHY they made them so fragile- if in real life it took more than 4 rounds to shoot down a 262, it should obviously take more than 4 rounds to kill one in Aces High, 'balance' be damned.

The plane has a 200 point cost to fly, that in itself will keep it rare. It doesn't need to be more fragile than a crystal vase to boot.

Anyone notice that anyone from HTC doesn't listen to a thing anyone saids BS or not??? I have only been playing a few months.
So I'm kinda at odds posting this.. But if someone points out something about a plane or would like to have this added. Its nobody listens or they say well we won't we do that because..
Now I may squeak about somethings. But I try to back it up with facts and not with abunch of roadkill. Its mainly about the P-38
cause it gets the toejam end of stick most times.. Don't get me wrong AH is better than AW in most areas but poor in others.
It is a damn good sim. But we pay for and fly AH.. I'm just saying
don't just blow off somethings we are just trying to help. And sometimes just sometimes people that fly AH and don't work for HTC know more about some plane than the people that work for HTC. And those people need to be heard I think. And saying we can't add that because people squeak. Well people are gonna squeak no matter what.. So you are pretty much damned if you do and damned if you don't. Anyone else have thoughts about this??
And don't post anything saying I'm a puttz.. Thats not what I'm looking for and already know that

My real purpose has been revealed, which was to draw Rude back out of his shell. Mission accomplished. By the way Rude.. can you please make this the whine of the week? I spent every week getting my hopes and dreams dashed as you selected other, less professional, whiners. Just think of it as a gold medal ceremony for me instead of the Canadian skating team!

Whine of the Week requires too much research which in of it's self, requires too much time. Whine-O-Rama suits my schedule much better.

Otter's would have surely been the monthly winner easily had not Urchin (card carrying member of the WhineWritersGuild) posted so closely on the heals of Otters independant production.

Well, you all must understand, that this was a knee jerk reaction to Urchins post, so I did not consider anything prior to his post.

Urchin is soley responsible for me being dragged back into the mire of twisted thoughts offered through broken sentences and mispelled words, conveying whimpered and unreasonable tones which offer nothing to better our beloved sim, but rather provide the cheapest form of amusement for us all.

Having said that, I'm feelin kinda funky good inside:)
