475th Fighter Group "Satan's Angels"
« on: February 18, 2002, 07:04:56 PM »
The Aces High Virtual 475th Fighter Group "Satan's Angels" was formed on July of 2000 to gather the serious P-38 pilots in Aces High and recreate the famed World War 2 P-38 squadron that gave birth to the top U.S. aces.

The 475th FG in Aces High flies ONLY in the SPECIAL EVENTS ARENA and in the COMBAT THEATRE. This is done so P-38 pilots can still belong to other squads in the murderous Main Arena and still be able to be part of the 475th FG on the CT and SEA.

The 475th FG "Satan's Angels" is currently recruiting P-38 pilots and assigning them into their respective Squadrons. Historically, the 475th Fighter Group was composed of the 5th Air Force's 431st Squadron "Hades" , the 432nd Squadron "Clover",the 433rd Squadron "Possum" and the 475th Squadron "Satan's Angels" , the last one being the Command Squadron where the Fighter Group got its name. In Aces High we aim to recreate the entire Fighter Group.

Each squadron will have 12 pilots max.

To enlist in the 475th Fighter Group, please contact me in the Main Arena or via e-mail at tac@cfl.rr.com . Sorry, only those with AH accounts allowed.

To this date the 475th FG has only 1 squadron up and running, the 475th Sq "Satan's Angels", its ranks are composed of the MA's =Twin Engined Devils= squadron (18 pilots).

The website for the 475th FG will be up soon. Stay Tuned!

Hi Frenchy!!

Oh, you have already forgot these things.

P-38 is like 2 canoes bounded together with a barrel.
It sounds like:"brrrllllllburpTACblurpbTACTAC brrrrrrlllrTACrbrrp..."
oh, sure you remember now?

Oh look ... TAC got an heart attack

Greets Vector, I could find an internet acces :D , I'm going to the o'club to say HI.

I was surprised by the wingspan of this flying machine. When I went to visit Nomde, he has 1:48 109/spit/Stuka/P47s/P51/P38/FW. The Stuka and the P38 looked like they were !:32 scale, even my puppy looked all tiny. I wonder how you can miss it shooting at it:rolleyes:

A p38 is a GI can opener, named for it's resemblence to the front sight of the walther p38 pistol .

Oh, come on Tac, I even punted this for you..

That guy in the picture is Charles MacDonald, CO of 340th FS 348th FG, later CO of 475th FG. From 348th FG book:

"...Captain Charles MacDonald took command of the 340th FS on November 17. MacDonald was an officer of unusual ability as a fighter unit leader and took the squadron into its first days of combat. He was popular commander who left the 348th a year later to become even more famous as the guiding hand of the legendary 475th Fighter Group; the "Satan's Angels" which would carry on a tacit but friendly rivalry with the 348th FG"

So we are kind of family here! ;)
