Nearlyl 4,000 people gave up their lives so Hank Jr. could make a comeback.

Pathetic.

Geez man, whats the problem.

Hank Jr. doesn't need to "come-back", he never went away. Besides that, the man made enough money on the origional version of that song alone to last him 3 lifetimes.

I'm certain  if you look into it, you'll find Hank Jr. to be one of the more patriotic types you'll find in the entertainment industry.

Animal, Hank Williams Jr. is the son of ..err (lol) Hank Williams, who is considered by most the father of country music (ok, Bob Wills is in there too).   Anyway, Hank Jr. established himself in the country music industry and achieved even greater fame (arguable) than did his dad.  In his younger days he was pretty much a failure in the music buis, until he cut away from dad's style of music and started his own thing.  The name helped allot, but he's done more for himself.  And..ya he looks like funked lol (but)...the beard is hideing some serious damage he got from some accident he had way back when.  If memory serves me correctly, he ran a hang-glider into a cliff or was rock-climbing or some crap like that and suffered pretty serious injuries through a fall.

Anyhoo, his music (IF you like country) is good stuff.  ...pretty much couldn't go to a party in the 80's without a few of his poppin up lol (or watch Monday Night Football well into the 90's)

Sandman just seems to hate any display of US patriotism! He loves any display of hatred towards the US like Ted Turner's and defends John Walker!

Why Sandman?

Why are you so resentful about the US?

Why?

 A nibble indeed. Why are you so knee-jerk about anything that does not acclaim ra-ra-ra patriotism as automatically good?

Why?

why?

Sandman hates America because he's a Canadian.  Not sure how you missed that one Grun?  :D

Top 10 reasons why Canuckland & its residents suck:
10.  It's frozen year round
09.  Years of inbreeding brought about an uncontrollable urge to say the word 'eh
08.  Seals and Eskimos EVERYWHERE
07.  It's so clean...it's makes you feel like something bad is about to happen
06.  They can't say "about" without Americans laughing at them
05.  They all have beady little eyes, and flapping heads, blame Canada, blam . . .
04.  Alan Thick
03.  They're just one rung up the ladder (evolutionarily speaking) from Frenchies
02.  Their economy sucks because their currency and Monopoly currency are completely interchangeable.
01.  Poutine, sweet Jebus, Poutine

A country boy can survive.

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Don't confuse patriotism with BLIND patriotism. I can't speak for Sandman, but I get the feeling he sees all these Chinese-made American flags on everyone's car, people like Hank Williams Jr. cashing in BIG TIME, and a political climate that labels any desenting (or questioning) voice as "unAmerican" and I imagine he sees the hypocracy in that attitude. (nibble nibble)

SOB, right on with your Canadian comments. You forgot to mention how bad they smell due to their diet of sardines and Molson beer though.
