Who's the vulch king?

Damn Nexx, thanks. It's true.

I always told the story of how fresh in the Dickweeds I launched a B17 out on a REMOTE base, as i had a weeks worth of laundry waiting to be washed.

I mean it was 20 minutes NAP 262 (they were a dream at that time) from any remote cons, and a P38 was right behind me.

Yup,  Citardbria. That P38 had more fuel tanks than a 76 station hanging off it, i swear.

heh, guys got some serious score strat aptitude, and how that translates into furball survival I don't know.

HTC should add a "V" for vultches(eg..any plane killed in ground) in the kill text.

Example..."Victory #39 For Fester"

It might for some humour when someone gets a vulch string going...:)

BTW,anyone seen 'Ol Fester lately?..Been a few weeks now for me...

In Warbirds somebody once got pissed at the Blue Knights and called us a bunch of "Damn Vulching Bullies".  We liked it so much we change the squad name to "++ The Blue Knights, Damn Vulching Bullies ++".  It saddens me that we haven't been mentioned here in connection with the most noble of pursuits (i.e. vulching).  I can see that we need to get busy.

Also it is a little known fact that Drex is in fact the premier vulcher.  I have frequently seen him in a low slow 47, miles from any base, vulch cons that enter the fight 5,000 feet above him.  It takes a particularly unscrupulous person to vulch somebody who took off 10 minutes ago and has a big altitude advantage.  By this time they think they are vulch-proof, but nobody is safe from the patented time-delayed-drex vulch.

Right on Deja. From tour 23:

gurge has 83 kills and has been killed 4 times in the LVTA4 against the PT Boat.

back to back 40 kill lvta4 sorties. They were spawning so fast 1 75mm hit would take out 2 sometimes 3 boats.

Also fun (but rare) is when 2 cv groups collide, and the enmey pt spawn comes into range of the quad 40's

Hehehe... I had a decent experience with PT boat spawning...

I was flying an F6F and PT boats kept spawning within range of the CV ack.  I just hovered above them and racked up 17 kills without firing a shot.  It was hilarious right until I went to land on my CV and was shot down by my own ack.

I am the Vultch King... I AM BATMAN!

17 wheels down kills with a P51D.. and thats AFTER I killed the acks and started to camp. Mind you, I was competing with several other vultchers for those kills, and to insure my continued propriatary status I had to use careful placement of my airframe, my six views and the kill shooter. Muahahhahhaa! (screw you! I killed them acks, that runway spawn point is MINE!!!)

Next best vultch sortie was with a B26.. 11 kills. Also after I tagged all the acks. Sadly after the nose gun ammo ran out I got the last three kills on that ride outta the tail... the vultchee had his wheels up when I got 'em.

Admittedly.. the vultchee was was not exactly in his right mind.. how could he be after the first one, to keep upping there? Oh well, I figured I just was doing my bit for Darwin and Bishland.

Vulch is so good, had 18 kill streak once. I always waited till suicide punks got the ack out. Then I vulched and hoped nobody gets the FHs. Also, I directed all Jabos to the VHs, them Osties and M16s are bad for vulchers.

Now, vulching in the TA, that is some great stuff too ;).

I wish I was the king, Preon.  Thanks anyway.
I think that sortie was 24, including some osties, and I killed some ack too.  Capped that base solo for at least 5 minutes.  We captured it not long after the rest of my squad and you showed up.  I think I was temporarily possessed by Mitsu.
I have hit the high teens many times in the C-Hog though.  Low teens in a 109.

I have to nominate 0osik for tank vulcher.
He had 35 and 70+  vulch sorties back-to-back in a Panzer once!
In a shore gun, I saw him break 100!

A few names come into my mind

 ...

The usual guys who appear at a defense down field..
Vulch the hell out of it..
Disappear when the defense is organized and begins to strike back..
 Goto another vulched field..
 Repeat the process..
 ..

Kinda funny to know that I've never ever met one of those guys
in a situation that is not vulching. Never an encounter->engagement..
 Always vulch.

Kinda hard to decide whether it is tard supreme or super-excellent SA.  :D

ps) Wouldn't mind if they vulch and actually help other people attacking the vulched field, helping out to capture it. The moment defense strikes back, they disappear, leave all their countrymen behind, and begin taking down acks in a desolate base in some other backwater quadrant. No wonder those K/Ds are so high

ps2) Twface once said "The ----------- ? They ain't no 'squad', they're 'terrorists'." :D

Man, you guys make me sick.  I NEVER  vulch.

Of course, that is because I can never find a decent vulch going on when I am logged on and I am too lazy to strafe the acks myself.

vultching takes great skill.   getting that one kill away from the dozen or so 'wannabe' vultchers...   for a real challenge tho...try getting a good vultch kill away from my squadmates.

Stealing my kills is considered great sport for my cruel and insensive squaddies..

Seems to be the rule, Hooligan. The best part of vulching actually...they are guided to the field by the red bar they see. Nothing else is important ;)

The V for vulchkills is a great idea ! How about if someone gets killed with gear down by pilot XXX, the message says "Victoy N by XXX, probably a vulch". Would be fun actually.

Imagine all the guys dropping gear in that last second only for you to get labeled a vulcher ;)

What would be great would be if we could all have personalized kill messages:
" Undeserved Dweeb-Kill #X by eskimo (Probably a Vulch or HO)"
