question.. attaching files...
« on: February 24, 2002, 06:33:02 AM »
says biggest file to be attached 102,400 bytes.
meaning 102Kb. biggest file.

or are they supposed to mean this?
1024000  equaling 1 meg files?

just wondering if this is a typo or not...
want to upload a couple of films but too big for the attaching files.

I think linking a url to a film file doesn't count, as it doesn't matter the size of the file YOUR hosting.

It limits Pam Anderson pre-reduction pix that would post here without clicking a link to your downloadable file is all.

(I think. Makes sense anyway)

Free webspace for pics.. Man I need that, too.

Something's wrong with either this new UBB board, or my current file server, too. Somehow, all my IMGs posted, which I had no trouble months ago, now display the link as if I used 'URL' tags.

Anyone know a good free webspace without too much restrictions??

The 'Photopoint' place someone suggested before seems to suck..

Ask SOB on a cheap server of sorts then. There are many that you can get dirt cheap.

Nothing kills a "Super Realism Self-Appointed Sim General Commanding the 5th Fighter Fake Force" farce, than a webpage with a GeoCities popup add. Really.

Not in your case, but for personal image links and file transfers, the $9 bucks a month are well worth it. It's worth it to be able to post neat stuff for the AH crowd. You see the point.

However, do what ya see fit.

I'd let SOB direct you in though.

Hi Kronos

If you can't find anywhere to upload the files then email me with whatever files you wish to be put up on my webspace and I'll email you straight back with the URL address.  Size isn't too much of a problem and they'll stay up until you tell me to remove them, or I close my ISP account which shouldn't happen!  :)

Cuz if you buy into server space as dirt cheap as it is, you can just post images at will, without popup ads or free server limits.

It's nice actually, that's it. Not dangerous at all, just handy.

I believe that's the point of it all.

Nothing is free, but 205's and HTH.

Course, the latter has a bad 6 view, and HTH is...well,  just read thier forum.
