Yo Pyro, Hitech,

I know you guys probably have the new planes you want to release planned out on your whiteboard, but I'd like to give you something to chew on...

This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

I've got some really good outlines for Historical Events to run in recognition of this milestone, but I need the planes to make it work. Specifically:

Spit I
Hurri I
Me109E
Ju87D
He111

A Blenheim would make a useful addition, an Me110 would be nice as well

Don't know if you can do it, but If you do, I'll develop a series of Historical Events using the aircraft. I guarantee they won't be wasted.

A late August - early September release date would be perfect

Supported!

Spit I and bf 109E should be quite straightforward variants and thhus easily developed.

Stuka would be interesting in sense than with minimal work we could have early war dive bomber AND late war tank buster with 2 X 27 mm guns some have been asking for.

Ju 88 we will have shortly could also be early war variant.

Hurricane could also be done in tow versions, early war fighter and mid war grtound attack plane with 2 X 40 mm anti tank guns!

50 year BoB anniversary scenario set would be great publicity stunt for AH.

That would be cool, especially in a sim with a decent model for machine guns.  Let's get that terrain editor so we can do 1:1 BoB map.

OH yea MAN !!! I would love to fly those He111s ! Oh and don`t forget the Do17 (there could also be a night fighter version of that one -> DO-17Z)

Ahhwwww think about a dawn raid against the radarstations on the english coast with the cliffs of dover lit in by the first moring sun rays that the beautiful AH sunrise offers ...

Definitely!

Huh? D520 was the rough equal of the Me109E...

So they didnt suck, at least not in 1940.

Doh!

Yes, 60 is the correct number, not 50 (vadr getting addled in his old age...)

The D520 was a bad prettythang ride, there just weren't very many of them. Werner Molders was in fact shot down by a young French pilot in a D520. The Moraine or P36 would be more representative French birds. Both were available in far greater numbers.

In the meantime, check out My newest creation

P-36 (Hawk 75A) would be a good choice, because it's a P-40 from the firewall aft.  P-36 was a very nimble plane with extremely high rate of roll.  About 30 mph slower than a 109E though.

please guys all sims have those packages!!

Let the htccrew model planes that are noncommon in other sims, maybe some french early planes, polish, glouster gladiator, I15
 etc, etc......
That is if we are to have an "early" planeset.

EEeerr Vadr's suggestion sounds like a good idea to me, from a business standpoint as well as a "what the people want" standpoint.  Obviously many players want some early war AC, which likely means there are other players not currently flying AH that would be interested as well.  A commemorative plane set marketed correctly could add nicely not only to the plane set, but also to the player base.  A second arena  Axis v Allies opening at the same time... woohoo +)  With the release of wwiiol later this year we are gonna see alot of interest in the early war.  Perhaps HTC won't wanna set themselves up for a comparison, or perhaps they would +)
