how about switching from bmps to jpgs for the clip board maps, they look good in 16bit colour, but just ugly in 256 colours, and jpgs are smaller file sizes.

can we plz switch?

Are you kidding me? .Jpgs would look like crap!!!!

You need to get a good art program, start your tiles in 24 bit mode or even 32 bit mode, Once done convert to 8-bit with NO degrading of the tile whats so ever.  JPG's would really make the tiles look really really really bad.

is there another format that is 24bit mode, low file size, and good quality? and i'm saying just for clip board maps

Ask Hitech to make the tiles 512x.. we can add more detail
