It's changing to somthing very simaler that saber came up with.
Strat will change in 2 steps over the 1.09 version

Step 1 will be implemennt with patch 0.

Step 2 Will be the addintion of strat zones similar to sabers suggestion. Basicly instead of 1 city there will be 3 or 4 cities in each country. Who ever owns the zone will be given the use of the factorys. This will have the effect of giving the defender of the zone to have a marked adavantage.

It will be implement with the release of the first MA 512x512 terrain.


Can't explane all the specifics but the basics are as follows.

Each field will have a road leading to it aprox 10 miles long.

A convoy will spawn every 10 mins, and travel at 60 mph so that it reaches the field before the next 1 spawns.


Hangars will function as the do now 15mins down time, and can't be repaired.

Most other field objects will have a base down time of 2 hours.

Each convoy ariving at the field will lower the down time by 30 mins.

Destroying factorys will have the effect of not loading cargo of its type on some of the convoys. Basicly if you destroy 50% of the factory 1 out of 6 convoys will have the factory cargo type on them.

Destroying a convoy would have the net effect of changing the down times by 10 mins.

Player suplied cargo will lower the down time by 30 mins.

Depos are a thing of the past.

Factorys will work simalar to Fields except the base down time will be 3 hours and be supplied by trains.

Cities will control the spawn rate of the trains.

HQ will have a base down time of 2 hours.

City down times are still up in the air.

Most interesting!  

 I'm sure many will love the complexity,  some will hate it (as they did when 1.08 made it so solo fluffs couldn't neuter a whole country in one flight) and some will not understand it at all (the majority) and will continue to play as they had before regardless :)  I think it will be more fun over all.

 A complex stat system however IS something that many, many players (the vocals one anyway. And from all over) have wanted for a number of years. I look forward to seeing how it all works online!

1)  will the convoys have small arms fire for defence


   2)  will we be able to know the status of factories (how much has been destroyed % wise so as to determine if another attack is needed)

    oh and one more

   if you destroy the convoys that have nothing loaded will that still change the down times or have no effect.


         does sound very nice though keep up the good work.

it will be interesting to find out where the roads will  seem to spawn from............... would that point be defendable? will it be capturable?

depots are replaced by cities?  seems cities supply factories......... or is the city factory traffic two way?
