« on: March 01, 2002, 01:59:47 PM »
I just got my SFS throttle to today need some help setting it up.
Here is what I'm using

SFS throttle
MS sidewinder stick
CH pro pedals

Can I make all these things work together??
I'm getting a flight yoke next week so the MS stick is gone then.
If I can't make everyting work. What can I make work?? And how in the hell do I install the drivers?? I installed the reader but I can't install the drivers.. Any help would be a big help.

Thanks

Sorry it took so long, but I dont check this often.  I do not use the drivers, and would not suggest it if you could find them.

Are the pedals and stick usb? is the sfs throttle parrellel?

If so, you will need to get a crappy parrellel joystick or gamepad or something.  It only seems to work well when something is plugged into the throttles parrellel out.

Once you get this plugged in, just create a custom device with 4 axis.  Dont worry about the povs, as those can be programmed with the button memory.  Make sure that the rudder and throttle axis on the custom setup are activated by the stick.  When you calibrate just ignore the x,y axis.

Make sure the MS and the Pedals are recognized.

If the ms stick is parrellel, then just plug it into the throttle, and again do a custom setup (4 axis 4 button pov), just make sure you calibrate the stick this time, and do the pov on the stick.  This is where you need to watch one of the buttons on the throttle.  I think the left most button at the top of the base controls whether button inputs are directed by its own memory set.  If this is depressed you will lose stuff like your pov (i think), and may screw up the calibration.  That should be describe d badly by the instruction book.

The rudders I have never dealt with, but I dont see why they should not cause a problem just add them like there instructions say.

The next thing you need to do is pick the correct axis for the right components within AH  (dont forget to invert the secondary throttle input).

It will work, you just gotta play around.  I have had it working in xp, 98 and me.
Good luck.
