To the tune of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine"
With apologies to Norman Whitfield & Barrett Strong

Ooh,  I bet you're wond'rin' when it's due
Baby, baby, the planned update to AH ooooh
It's the version we're all waiting for
but when we get it we will just want more

It wasn't a surprise I must say
When we didn't get it yesterday.

Don't ya know that I heard it out of Grapevine
Not much longer till one oh nine
Oh, don't ya know that I heard out of Grapevine
And I'm just about, just about, just about, to download 'nine
Oh yes, I am, Oh yes, I am, Oh yes, I am.

HTC won't you listen to me.

Take a good look at the terrain size
with all the newbies you must realize
that the maps are now much too small
it must grow to accomodate all

You can see that for yourself
so we won't go somewhere else.

Gr-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w
Grow, It's gotta grow
Gr-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w
You gotta make it grow
Gr-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-w
It's gotta grow whoa, whoa, whoa

They say believe half of the posts you see
Oh, ho, and none of what you hear
but I just can't help asking you
If it's true please won't ya tell me here
Oh-h-h, do you plan to add the P-40
Or some other plane or maybe two or three?
Don't ya know that I heard it out of Grapevine
Not much longer till one oh nine
Don't ya know that I heard it, yes I heard it

Agreed.

Just compare the wheels of 'before' and 'after'!

The Spinner looks smooth too :) Weathering and aging is very nice!

 Thx for update Pyro!

The cockpit bars look great. Hopefully some other planes can get the same treatment.

Wow ... so many remodeled parts on the spit, I can't name them all!

I was wondering if one of our beloved plane gourou were thinking to repaint the silver birds like the P38, P51, D30 to make them look more like alluminium. If I recall good, this "white paint effect" was the best they had to model it.

Just a quick observation, and I’m pry alone on this judging from the responses…

Unless you’re a Spit driver , I myself looked at the screenshots and thought they were the same update, until I reread the post. Upon further observation, I finally found the difference in the graphical update. It IS better, but not so groundbreaking I didn’t even differentiate the two on initial glance. Not bad or good, just saying.

And while looking closer, the new pits DO look more detailed. Pry a welcome update for those that have to stare at them 300 kills per tour, cool.

Still, I think as a long time player I concede wholeheartedly HTC makes the proper game play updates, and pursues the direction of AH better than any critic, player, or flightsim enthusiast convert to AH considering. Really, it’s hard to argue their success. Hard to argue my fun factor for sure.

However, I on rare occasion as a long time player have wants. (Not expectations, I expect HTC to tweak game play a bit, and update bugs in a quick fashion. They do). But as a individual, selfish as it seems, I want MORE AIRCRAFT. Plain and simple.  More Aircraft. More and more, as I saw the game play just as good 4 updates ago, as now, which Im not sure I ever did get the jist of?!

More aircraft makes for better game play match-ups, more player happiness flying their WWII fav’s, more realism forCT maps, scenario possibilities, and arguments on the sim vs. sim front.

Maybe every other new update should just be all aircraft. Spending time and resources minus a few bug squashing days? Dunno, seems like it would work, but the track record stands.

edit- Ah toejam, track record or not, Im standing on the MORE AND MORE AIRCRAFT every other release suggestion! :)
