Wich is the best Bomber  in here?

* B17
* Lanc
* JU 88

What is your choice when you fly on a bomber mission, and why?

I prefer the B17:

- it have Guns all over;), And under his belly. Can almoust protect you at all time;).

- Its climb rate is good to be a heavy Bomber.

- Good Bomb loaud out

B17 cause it can bite back.

With a Lanc you are just waiting for that fighter to chew you up and spit you out.

Why did the Lanc come with out a Belly gun???, and the same goes for the other as well;)

Personally, I perfer the B-26.

I can maneuver enough to use the waist gunners to cover my belly.

Plane moves fast for a bomber, and those front firing MG's (50 cals?) are great for tank busting and town flattening.

Makes a nice, fast low level, medium bomber.

It's my ride of choice, until the B-29 finds it's way into AH.

It's not that I prefer ant bomber over the other, they all have their advantages(duh, they where chosen for that or we'd all be flying B24's). It totally depends on the sitiuation. I'm just a bmber potato

The one broken in half, smoking from all engines, and twisting toward the ground .

The one spinning into the ground, firing all it's guns on the way down, 10 sec away from dropping the fighter hangers at the field I'm at.   Hopefully.... it took him an hour or so to get to that point.

I fly the B26 mostly because of its higher climb rate.  When a bomber's hard work can be undone with one C47 supply drop, why bother spending 30 minutes climbing to 20K?

For the guns, the B17 - but for the bombload, the Lanc!    More often than not, I prefer the bigger bombload of the Lanc and take my chances with the lack of ball turret.
