Okay....if I pay for something it is NOT free.  I purchased the dictionary I own.

When I say nothing is free where I live I mean exactly that...we have no free health care, no "dole", and no government hand-outs.  No workie, no money.

Do I think 9/11 was the first step?  First step in what?

But...the fact is that the attack on 9/11 caught the US (and everyone in the west) with their "pants down".

The natural reaction is to pull them back up...which is why there are troops in Afganistan now.

WOW! This started as such a well meaning thread. to all who are fighting for the freedom and our liberty.

Remember, intolerance is sometimes the only course of action that should be taken. Intolerance is not universally bad! There are many things in this world we need to be intolerant of.....like the crap spewed by the idiots who tried to use this thread as a sounding board for their sad little ideas.

No. I hate to see anyone dying - and I have seen too much people dying in my work.


Did I wrote that I am happy that their relatives suffer ?
Again: No. And again: I have seen too much people who suffered during their dying and the pain and suffering of their relatives.

Because I saw what I have seen in my life, I hate the fact that soldiers are sent in - what is in my opinion - a senseless propaganda war forced to kill, be killed and that many innocents - like the relatives of the KIA - suffers because of (what I consider) nothing.

The world is not devided in black and white. There are no evil countries who could be attacked - and I consider the term "Axis of Evil" as one of the most stupid terms in this time.

I surely dont demand or expect that you accept my opionion and I have to admit that I didnt expect some of the childish and hysterical overreactions I have seen after my mail.

Although I still dont understand why anyone should piss in a church - like someone suggested here - I respect the opinion of those who believe that this is a just war and that these policy and wars will change this world into a better place.

But maybe you should have the tolerance to accept also other opinions - and it is my opinion that no war could solve any problems.

And if you accept it or not: Its a clear fact that the support for this war here in Germany is by far not so great as shown in the TV or by the offical german politician decalarations.

I think you will find that historically war is the ONE THING that will solve certain problems.  This is one of them...like it or not.
