Had enough..quitting

THATS IT! I QUIT! I QUIT READING EVERY WHINY "I QUIT" MESSAGE ON THIS BB

I left Warbirds with more than one score to settle and could have made life difficult for some people but as yet (3 months or so on) I have still yet to make a theatrical "I quit!" message on AGW as was the vogue.

If you quit then by all means post a message saying goodbye to the friends you've made but lets not start slamming the game just because you are leaving, the rest of us are still enjoying the sim you are slamming so it just looks like you're calling us all idiots for parting with our cash to play. Is it any wonder why these types of posts turn into flame-fests with indignant players feeling they need to defend their sim because they are still paying?

I got fed up with this phenonomen on AGW when AH first appeared but stuck by WB until I felt it no longer appealed to me, but when I did go I left quietly as I had little good to say about the sim. Now the same is happening here, its pathetic! get a grip guys!

I think yer missin' somethin' Rip. Compare the types of reactions that Dnil got with those that Jase recieved. Then compare the original posts. I think there's a graceful way to bow out and then there's... well... nuff said.

Not missing anything Nash, I don't condon what Dnil or Weazel did...yet I don't pay their bill, nor do I type their posts with my fingers, so why should I have an opinion of what they did, it's their life.

I completely agree Citab. When these types of (*cough* lame) topics keep gettin' posted here in this forum, though, we're left with no choice as to where to respond with our knee jerk reactions

Nash its easy. Jase had to leave because work. Dnil had to leave because...he had his motto. But simply becayse  that motto was taken as a "I cant stand F4U anymore" (thing I really feel too but for now I can manage it...more or less), then the F4U1-C "lobby of defensors" took it as an aggravation and they fall on that thread like vulchers (em...strange in F4Uc drivers   ) (tongue on cheek---just kidding   )

NOw seriously. noone disagreed with Jase's motivations. A lot of people did with Dnil's, and the thing was agravated when some stupid hate-expanding people did the wrong comment in the wrong place and at the wrong time. The gas was there and the spark ignited the flames that a F4UC thread uses to ignite.

Has nothing to do with Dnil, IMHO. it has to do with ALL OF US!. Starting from me and finishing with you.

If you dont like a goodbye thread ,dont say ANYTHING. If you like it say "godspeed" and "goodbye". But dont start calling people things,and less a hole squad. (not talking about you, Nash, but about everybody.)

Just my point of view here.
