Ikarus ECCO PICCOLO, one of the smallest Electro RC Helicopters i've ever seen.
It's awesome ... it weights less than 300g completely ready to go and it assembled in about 3 hours !

Have a look on the size:

Look at the heli not the chick ! :D

i've got myselfe the a fuselage kit:

weights extra 60g, but what the heck !

Cheers

Can you, say.. load weapons or cameras into these? Like the military does?
And use them for purposes other than watching them fly around with a silly grin on your face?

What the devil is the power for that lil critter??? It looks like it should be an old Cox .049! Is it all electric?
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

all electricity... man cox is dead since ages :)

on 8cells with the tuning engine it runs up to 10 mins... they have set a record at 32 mins... but that was with non-stock engine and batteries.

So is it like a Real RC chopper? I mean like the gas ones that you can hover and control and everything or does it just fly on its own?

and how much?  Cause I want one!

I live close to an RC field and was watching an RC chopper.
I made a comment about how it could do such un-natural things.
A guy in front of me said that the pilot was a 3 time world champion.

yea this is a complete RC chopper !

it's a bit different as it has a fixed pitch and you fly with the rpm same for the tail rotor, but it's just like the big ones... only that it is really really small and basically built for indoor flying.

it comes at around 350 Euros that'd be some 300 $ i think.

Built in for indoors flying?

I should have had that when I was a kid... re-decorating interiors :)

Well duedel flown (or hopped around rather ;)) a bit now:

In ground effekt it's very unstable.. lift it out of ground effect and it becomes a lot better but still it's a heli and therfore hard to fly especially for newbies (like i am to heli flying :))

The way the rotorhead is setup you need to be very carefull to have the hiller blades and the swashplate nicely aligned otherwise it just doesn't do what you want it to do ...  but heck it's fun !

cheers

Oh wow

So no more getting up from the computer to check on what the dog is barking at, eh?  Just send out Super Huey and voila, instant eyes?  Neat!  Now, if it can carry some Estes model rockets, I've got the world's smallest gunship
