Dead Engine Bug
« on: March 16, 2002, 01:21:59 AM »
When I fly a multi engine plane, mostly the B26, if I lose an engine by getting it shot out, or hitting something, when I land I can not turn off my engines to exit the plane. I have tried everything from holding the brake and clicking "tower" on the clipboard, typing .ef, and anything else other pilots have suggested, and still get the "you must be stopped to end mission" message. I have only found two ways to end the mission, one is by bailing out, which I do not want to do, especially after a good mission. (I am somewhat concerned with stats) and the second is by holding the brakes on until I run out of gas and the engine stops on its own. Sometimes this is not possible because there is just too much gas in the tank.
Please! ANY information to help me cure this problem will be gladly accepted.

press either Shift+1 or 2 depending on which engine it is, then hit E to turn it off.

Thank You! Thank You!
Quick Service or what? It's like you were sitting there WAITING for me to post this so you could answer it.
Shift + 1 or 2 depending what engine it is, then E to shut it off. Got it. I can't wait to try it out.
Again, Thank You!
