I put 26 rounds of 30mm into a Lancaster bomber.  I was in an Me110...



And that plane exploded to high heaven!

But on a serious note, I think it was net lag that allowed me to fire that many shots before the bomber exploded.

hit him 1 time usually kills him ....

more then 5 is over kill....

Next time lay off the trigger

he will die..........

1 30mm hit definatly won't kill him, 5 hits will if they all hit near eachother. If the are spread out over the plane (2 in each wing and some in the fuselage) it might not even be dammaged.

Just flew a quick mission in it, took of from a base 1 sector away from where a CV was bombarding a NME base.  Flew over it at around 15k and saw 2 b17s.  they were at 10k, dived into 1 at 90 degrees and fired a burst into it, blew up.  CLimbed upto 13k.  Then did a shallow dive to into the rear of a the other b17 was going about 400MPH and fired into him ripping him to pieces god this plane ROCKS!!

i disagree wil i have plenty of films of 1 hit 30mm kills on lancs.......

I fly g6/g10 30mm only.........

Fusalage hits may or may not kill him but wing root or bombay hit usaully kills umm....... atleast for me..........


Now theres 1 time i was in a 152 and made 6 pass on a lanc hitting him with about 8 30mm..........

But those are way rare.........

This had to have been lag then.  I sprayed the lanc then it finally exploded.

Hit the fuel tank and it takes one hit Wotan (wing root of lanc). However, hit  normal surfaces and it takes a hell of alot more, atleast it does for me.

Of course, bring in a 110 and the Lanc has got a very short painfull life to look forward to
