Smooch. ;)

Got four that sortie, including you. It was a beaut. Started out 2 Spits and you in your 109 against two of the good guys, with me making it three (though I arrived while the fight was in progress). I had just come off two consecutive gang rapes in the Hurri, so I decided to grab the other end of the spectrum- there was a large red sector bar near our base, and there weren't may of us there.

So, here I come and I spot your 109- you were making passes through the furball trying to get our boys. I go after you, you break. Now, I know I can't turn with that 109, so I plow on through and hit WEP. You rolled onto my six like you should, I start a slow diving turn to pull you back to my boys. You break, I break back into the fight. You saw me coming again, pull up, kick left rudder and I know where you have to go. I was waiting with the cannon, and nailed your engine as you passed through. Smoke immediately poured out, and from then it was only a matter of time.

I turned to the spits, and make fruitless attempts to kill them- fact is, I hardly ever fly the La7, can't seem to get the gunnery down. Anyway, on my way through I see you ditching. Now, perhaps it was poor sportsmanship, but as I hadn't received much from your side to that point I felt inclined to return the favor. I blasted you, finishing the job I started.

You rewarded us with claims of 4-2, blah, blah, blah, how you wish we knew how to fight (funny, since I was making passes just like- oh- you?). You of course didn't appreciate my rebuttal observation, and challenged me- oh my!- to go to the DA! I naturally declined- I gave up on that "meet you at the bike racks after school" stuff in jr. high. ;) Of course you commented you would "enjoy killing me over and over", and returned with an La7.

Now, this is funny... what'd you do with it? Make passes and run. I chased you, you had more E and split. Later, I was killing an F6F and you slipped in. I saw the cannon fire, rolled, and was on your six. You fled again. What did you say when you landed?

"Oh well, maybe next sortie. I thought you were kind of timid there".

Well, three more of your buds died and I landed just fine. ;) Face it, you flew it just like I did.

Anyway, thanks for the entertainment. Every time I see the whines start on the open channel, I'll know you were shot down by someone. ;)

I concur. Even the S!'s are unnecessary. Apparently it's just too fediddleing hard to a) get on with the sortie and pop some more cons or b) get a new plane and go kick some ass. Oooh no, there's either the "wow now that was a nice fight" "yeah, sure was" yaddayadda or "fuk u cheter u use cheat mode laser gun!" :D

I'm not exactly blabbing about getting a kill... I'm blabbing about getting that kill. "In your face", so to speak. ;)

Yeah, I know I shouldn't have brought it here, but I got to hear the name-calling, posturing, and excuses for dying during my entire sortie. I didn't exactly not enjoy it; I was amazed at how a good stick could come so completely unglued over a virtual death. He wanted the world to know how unfairly he died, so hey, why not replay it here- that is, the correct version? ;)

And no, I don't plan to drop what I'm doing to go to the DA to feed anyone's ego. If he's a jerk before we go in, he's probably a jerk when we come out is the way I look at it. ;)
