Hijacked aircraft, suicide bombers, it's all incomprehensible sometimes.  I hope that peace comes to the Middle East soon.

WTF is wrong with the Palestinians anyway? I used to sympathize with their situation, but it seems they sabotage any attempts at progress. The Israelis withdrawal troops from the West Bank, VP Cheney agrees to meet with Arafat....and 3 retards screw it all up by taking one for Allah. I just don't understand.....

Volatile combinations:
Mix radical, fundementalist religious beliefs (any religion will do) twisted to your own agenda, add poverty and uneducated young kids, you have the recipe for suicide bombers for your agenda.

On the other hand, did you know that in 1985, 75% of all "Millionaires" living in the USA had lived during the depression as children?  Difference is, they were stictly taught right from wrong, good from evil, and taught how to work hard for what they earn.

They want peace, they just don't want peace while the other country/people still exist.

So you see, it all works out in the end. Some places are overpopulating, other places are performing self-extermination.

It all balances out in the end.

I believe Israel is still in lead in K/D ratio by 4/1.
I can understand if palestinians want to get their ratio little better before game ends :)

The Washington post had an editorial today that said during the infantada (sp) in the 80's the Israelis had a K/D of 25/1 But this one is closer to 3/1. In case anyone was keeping track.

The peace talks between Israel and PA are pointless because PA is not the one conducting the war - Hamas and Hezbollah do and PA has no control over them.

I don't find anything "smilie" about this situation, but whatever floats your boat.

I just feel pretty damn powerless.  I would support a UN resolution of having the rest of the world move in there and take it over.  These guys don't know how to make peace there.  Maybe outside observers would have a better shot at it.  Probably a stuipid idea, but I'm out of them.

LOL....me too, I laughed....guilty!

I don't know why Arafat is even in the negotiations.  Clearly he is not the representative of the Palestine people.  He says one thing, and his pepole do another.  Then he makes no apologies for it.

I'm all for them declaring war on each other and settling it all out once and for all.  Peace by military victory, I say

These guys dont want Israel to EXIST, that's pretty hard to negotiate through

To anyone that truly wants to sort out this situation I say "Good luck to you!"

When I was in University my roomate recommended I take a course that he took the previous semester called "The History of Warfare" .  I was all over that action , especially since he had done well in it and had all his papers that he wrote neatly filed away.
:D

One of the papers we had to write was on the Arab/Israel conflicts and the reasons for all the animosity between them.

Naturally I took my roomates paper and used it as "review" material;)

Problem was I ended up getting a bit confused in my paper and actually came up with totally the opposite conclusion to what he had argued in his paper.

We got the same grade.

No one is right...no one is wrong....in all of it.

PS...guilty of laughing at that remark about a game of football too.

:(
