I *knew* this caused the fps hit
« Reply #1 on: March 22, 2002, 02:59:56 PM »
i just *knew* it, and had it more or less confirmed by flying in the CT where my fps were "normal."

yay!  :D

14. Got the FPS back to what it used to be or slightly more. The addition trains and convoys in the new terrains was effecting FPS substantively. We optimized this section of code to work more with the objects only in visible range.

I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

Nothing in the new "news" about releasing the Spit14. Guess we have to wait a little longer... :(

Upon reflection...

Perhaps the LW and the Buffers could form a lobby? That would be a force to be reckoned with...

Sorry, but every time I read an insinuation HTC doesn't care about buffs or the LW, I read the news, readme files, and look at the list of planes we have included and their respective performances, and I just can't see the injustice.

The Ki-67 is very nice- I have flown a sortie or two in it, and that bird handles beautifully and is fast- perhaps a paltry bombload, but I didn't feel naked in the arena in it. The 110C and 110G are both fun planes to fly, and nothing, NOTHING in the arena outguns the 110G.

And for the LW victims (this is not intended to mean all people who fly LW, just the ones who prefer the victimhood stance) The broad spectrum of the war is best represented in which stable..? that's right, the LW. 109E to 262, no other planeset even comes close in number and breadth of coverage. It's just silly to go on like HTC is ignoring the LW. Sure, point out features of the planes that are wrong, ask for ordinance, speed, roll rate, etc. but does it have to be punctuated with "It's LW, what'd you expect? "?

Speaking as a pilot that usually flies LW, I just can't understand the victimhood thing. Speaking as a person that occasionally flies bombers, I can usually do what I set out to do and get home alive if I choose (as often as I can in fighters), so I can't understand the crisis there I keep reading about.

Perosnally I'd just see more planes modelled correct then just more planes...

Funny: once again a simple news post of what we have been up to gets turned into a whining LW thread by wilbus:

Wilbus I take major offensence at your last post. It's uncalled for and totaly off base.

It does no one any good.

If you can not post in a some what resonable maner, posibly even some what on topic, there will not be any need for you to post any longer.
