Well.... when the guy is on line I don't bother him.   If he wants to talk to me he will.  I get a lot of stuff on private and on one myself but like a lot of guys I like to fly under my own handle.

If thrawn is talking about on this BB tho...  That's quite a different thing.

Well said Thrawn.

For those who would pester HT and Pyro when they're playing "in the white", I'd just like to point out that as long as THEY are having FUN playing this game... WE are all in good shape. Because more good things will be forthcoming.

The day HT, Pyro and the gang start NOT having fun... look out. That's bad news for all of us.

So, let 'em play in the white. Reserve your questions for when they're "in the blue".

Of course, when they're in the white, it's perfectly acceptable to shoot 'em down and then taunt them.  ;) (If you can get 'em, that is!0

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

When the P-38 first came out, I once caught Pyro trying to lift off alone from a field I was capping (read: "vultching"). I picked up 5 or six easy ones there, then felt bad. I let him off the runway and let him get some alt- then he shot a couple of the guys down that arrived about then.

Nothing to brag about on my part, but not one whine eminated from Pyro during the whole ordeal.

Agree Toad. As skilled and talented as HiTech and the rest of the HTC folks are, I'm sure they could get a nice 8 to 5 job, make a lot more money, and not have nearly the headaches. I suspect they keep doing this because they love it and it’s fun. But when the fun-to-pain in the butt ratio gets low enough, everyone has their limit. If that ever happens, then we’ll really have something to whine about.

I agree with Thrawn.

Dolomite - it should be normal not to hear a whine when you kill someone, but sadly that seems to be further and further from reality. That's because there are certain individuals who cannot stand to lose. Even in a computer game. God only knows how they cope with real life, assuming they have one.

I've been away from AH pretty much since December and the MA has changed. More whiny, squeaky remarks on channel 1 - I really notice it more. Maybe the increase in MA numbers has brought a proportionate increase in the number of losers, but it definitely detracts from the experience.

In short, people take this game far too seriously.

Refer to Positive feedback is... rare

I can understand seeing HiTech in the MA and hitting him up about the game features, it's most unusual in MPGs to have access the the GODZ.

However people need to realize that when the HTC crew are in gray text they are PLAYERS not game makers.

People also need to utilize a bit more tact in pointing out bugs/issues in the game.

I wonder how many people would tolerate being told thier child is retarded, butt-ugly, stinks and needs a haircut every time they walked down the street?

Salute HiTech for showing more tolerance over the years than I ever woulda been capable of.

Everyone speaks about this like it's a widely advertised/known fact.  It's not.

Many folks who've been around a while know it.  People who've read it here know it.  But I'd wager that the majority of folks who play AH don't know it.

It isn't.

However, I caught early that when a weird Blue Text is used, it's not some secret mission channel just for you to see. New players will figure it out.

It's always good to see HTC peoples in the MA, and a few questions get answered too. Mainly Blue text just means you better have a speed course in reading for the time HT is on, and get ready to wear out the "`" key or miss most of it.

I always thought a FAQ forum where user questions could be submitted via email, and then once every 1-2 weeks the most popular would be answered and posted by HTC would go a long way in informing the players, not to meantion dispell a whole bunch of crap/rumors/misconceptions. Cheerleading and getting pissed don't do anything really.

I agree 100% with Thrawn. While I'm new to AH, I've played many online sims, the most notably (or longest) being AW. Their customer service was ok but not like HTC. I applaud the time and effort they have put into this game. The manual (Help File) is excellent and about as complete as I've ever seen one. It is a great game I know I'm going to enjoy for 'hopefully' years to come if they decide to stick around.

The community overall seems to be a decent bunch of folks. I hate it when everybody whines about vulching, gangbanging, gimme a new patch, I wanna new plane, etc... It doesn't help or improve anything. I haven't seen alot of gripping on Channel 1 or alot of profanity on the radios at all. I hope it stays that way.

I got my 1st kill on a Spit this morning in a 38. We were in flat turn on deck, cut throttle dropped 2 notches of flaps and couldn't quite get inside him. So I cut throttle even more (just above 100) and went to full flaps. Well that nose came up and I flamed him good. Was the most fun I've had in AH yet and it was a blast.

Thanks HTC! You guys deserve a big snappy *Salute*. Very well done, excellent game...
