Some very pretty cars.  Except for one small problem.  They all suck.  There is one dream car, and it is this:

- 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-500 Convertible.

Like I said, there is only one dream car.  The rest are simply ones that would kinda cool to have.

Yep MrBill thats an old black British plate but I think the first "O" has been tampered with - looks wrong.

They changed to white on front of car and yellow on rear in the early 70's I think - maybe earlier.

You found one for $225,000?  That's not a bad price... but it is alot of money.  Classic automobiles have become a super shakey investment.

I'd rather have something contemporary. TVR Tuscan - comparatively cheap and British made:

There was the geeky girl in highschool that used to drive one of those to school.  Her dad gave it to her when she was 16.  It was all original (even oxidized paint) and totally straight.  Damn that was a sweet car.

My first car was a 66 Mustang. I often ask myself why I got rid of it.

Then I remember. Compared to even the most sedate family sedan of today, that Mustang handled like toejame.

Yep, thats why the con job check remark was inserted in the first post.  I thought the plate looked skewed also.  Prolly cost me the price of a
new car just to send a expert over to check it out.
ERROR REPORT  the parade car pic I posted was a friends TF, I have a TD they look the same except for the headlight placement and a couple other minor details.

Dowding,
If I were to get another british make it would be one of these ... It would have to be blue though. :)

If we are talking American iron, this is my favorite, modified heavily of course.  I'll take mine with a 440  big block with 6 pack, stoked and bored, racing cam, headers,  all the good stuff....
I figure if a muscle car gets more than 4 miles per gallon than it can be tuned for more power.  The gas guage should double as a tachometer by moving visibly when you rev the engine.  A real car should be able to light the tires in 1st, 2d, and 3rd gears, and eat the 1/4 in <11 seconds.  Who cares about how it corners, its all about going fast in a straight line!  Seriously,  I like cars that can handle too,  (BMWs are probably my favorite for that, cant beat the M3)  but ever since I first saw a Challenger as a little kid,  I have wanted one.  Who cares about a sound system when you have 440 cubic inches of American iron converting dead dinosaurs into window rattling, pavement melting, power?  First good one I find that I can afford, and my entertainment budget for the month will consist of nothing more than gas and tires to keep the beast happy.  Oh yeah, make mine jet black.......
