working on 1.09 already????
« on: November 01, 2001, 05:28:00 PM »
There is 1 plane i wish to see in here sometime and that's the B-25 Mitchell. The first large bomber (looks big to me) to take off of a carrier and bomb Tokyo. I think it is a very decorative plane that was a BIG support for the war.   :)

If it wasn't for Gen. James Doolittle, that plane would never have existed. So let's bring the B-25 Mitchell to Aces High as I know some people will enjoy it, I know i will   :) Thanx.

We have the B-26 already and it is a similar plane.   :) Also, I've been told HT hates the B-25.

I'd prefer to see the Ki-67 (which we're getting I believe), the Tu-2 and A-26.

War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

I'm not sure about the A-26, except maybe as a perk bomber.

In AW the A-26 was so good we never saw any other type of twin-engine bomber.  Ever. (Except in scenarios.)  People even used it as an "F/A-26" with a considerable amount of success.

I think the B-25 might be interesting, if they model a B-25D or B-25H (one of the variants with the 75mm gun).  That would give people a reason to pick it so it wouldn't "rust in the hangar".

A B-25J, though, would be a very poor addition because the B-26 fits all its roles, both in the MA and in scenarios.

Whats this obsession everyone seems to have with the little 75mm gun? Bang, bang, look, we slightly damaged a destroyer and now our wings are shot off! Was the 75mm B-25 really an effective weapons system in WW2? I've seen photos of a B-25 popping some holes in a nearly empty fuel storage tank, but I haven't heard much more about the system. Perhaps if HTC modeled sampans. Give me rockets and a nose full of .50s any day.

I'd rather have the B-24 and a armed troop transport plane like Ju52

First off James Doolittle is my Great Uncle.  I think that's a big reason why I'm interested in WWII.  Also both my GrandFathers were in WWII as well.

Anyway, as much I would love to have a B25 in the game in reality we really need some Japanese bombers.  For scenario sake anyway.

I'm really happy with this game and where HTC is heading with it.

Great Job keep up the good work!!
