aces high wont start

OK i sent computer to the shop 2 times and they could not figure out the problem either ( i feel better but im still not playing the game) when i start program i get a error message DSOUND.DLL:12 is missing (note shop reloaded windows melim version for me in case i deleated a file ) has anyone had this error message??

Searched this from the net and found something:

"If you are getting a "Dsound.dll" error message:
This error usually occurs when you do not have the latest drivers installed for the sound card"

And another one:

"Could not Find DSOUND.DLL

Background

When extracting the SubSpace Setup File it says "could not find DSOUND.DLL" Upon downloading a dsound.dll it says "The DSOUND.DLL file cannot start. Check the file to determine the problem." The dsound.dll version is: 4.02.0095

Solution

DSOUND.DLL is installed when you install DirectX (one of the requirements of the game). Try uninstalling DirectX and reinstalling"

You've tried to reinstall DirectX?

loged right in with new direct x now ill read all the other posts to fix dely bugs ect mouse is a little slow thanks  PSJITMO;)
