so my opinion is that AH needs a new bomber and the best thing would be Heinkel HE177A-1/R1 "Greif".

1. it would be the only hvy german bomber
2. speed is like Lanc/B-17
3. it has a bombload of 6000kg (bout 12000 lbs)
4. its gunnery is like the B-17

He 177A-5 Greif would be better.
Other variants had too much problems with engines etc. Also it was most produced variant with biggest operational record.

A5 it should be :)

I want to comment on "Bulletheads" comment but I won't because then this would turn into another flame war, which it probarly will anyway but not because of me :)

Bring He177 A5!! (add missiles please ;) )

From the pictures I've seen of this plane, it looks like it would be a cool addition, really!

Also the luftwaffe (or however you spell it) doesn't have many planes either...

Hmm...  The LW's got 5 flavors each of 109s and FWs, 2 of 110s, and the 262.  IOW, 13 of the 43 fighters in AH are German.  That's more than the Russians, Japanese, and Italians put together.  Plus the LW's got 2 of the 6 mult-engine bombers.  So I don't think the Germans are under-represented in the planeset.

Where's the 2nd one? I musta missed it. Surely you don't mean the Arado. That thing gets about as much use as my comb.

Hmm, I see more Arados than Lancs.  Most people don't notice them because they stay out of harm's way.

But so what?  None of the LW planes get any real use.  If you look at the stats and the end of each TD, you'll see that there's never more than 1 German plane in the top 10 list of popular rides (based on % of total kills credited to a type), and it's never higher than 10th place.  Each TD, this seems to alternate between the 109G10 and the Dora.  But regardless, neither one gets even 1/4 as much use as the spit9 or N1 in the same TD.

So we have a situation where German planes account for more than 30% of the planeset but get very little use anyway.  And these are some of the best planes the Germans had.  So why add any more?

Lets face the truth! LW planes are not dominating MA just because they are not easy to fly! If you want to fly LW rides you must know something about flying. LW rides are not forgiving you your faults. If you lose your E you are as good as ded. Thats why most of people fly Spits, N1Ks or La7s these planes forgive you a lot they are easy to fly and to get kills with... Well just my $0.02 and yes I may be wrong...

Yea, why not remove the Italian, VVS and LW rides and have the guys inclined to fly Brit and US iron to shoot each other down. Oh yeah, and add the occasional N1K1 too. That'd make for some cool what-if scenarios. "USA invades Brit-Japan coalition, part XVII, this saturday!"
