Hear hear!

Rumble 2001 was great fun. Let's see if the leather clad clan can get revenge on us farm boys for our victory last year.

Rumble 2001 was a blast! So many burning axis wreckages... ;)
Rumble was the very first AH "special event" that I participated, didn't have to regret it. Cool terrain, axis & allies flying large circle trailing the walls, lurking each others. Those were nerve consuming moments :)

Dunno if the Scenario Corps would be willing to host it.. seems my name is mud over there right now.

On the other hand, I'd like nothin better than another Rumble... Nash did a heluva good job on gettin it set up last 2 times, and I trust him... I just don't trust committies that can't or won't reign in scenario desiginers.

Nuff said on that.

I'm in.. if they'll let let me. ;)

..and 2000 was a hoot if yah flew Axis.

The 2001 Rumble Terrain from Nuttz and Pokie was (and is) truly awsome..and the rules Nash did up for the rumble last year were flawless. We all knew what to do, where to go, what to kill. Neither side enjoyed any 'advantage' at the start. There were no human vs AI objectives, no bugged VH's, Bases or vehicles, no 'points', no gamey interpetations of incomprehensible rules carved in mud...

Just find the enemy and kill him.

I loved it.

Minus, there was some discussion last year on swapping planes and running a second frame... everybody i talked too thought it was a great idea.

A "Rumble" format has a lot going for it simplicity wize.. running a second frame with the sides swappin planes within a few minutes of the first would not be fraught with all that 'check the logs, verify points, evaluate penalties' foolishness that seems to be an issue in the current scenario.

Of course, comparing a 'Rumble' with a 'Scenario' is kinda like comparing a first date to an orgy. One has reams of 'historical' talking points, the other don't.

Both can be fun.... as long as you get a chance to score.
