The sad and ironic play of the night was the "Doors for Blacks" being bashed down 'whined' by a half white Berry, as Sidney Poitier, actor, married to white actress Joanna Shimkus, sat in utter amusment, wondering if his Hollywood 5 million dollar home had the security alarm on.

Classic, horrible, and so 2002.

The Russians were good, but not as good as us it seems. Propaganda, in the most frivolous and demeaning to all involved.

What rubbish.

Some consolation...

Longest Oscars, Lowest Rating

Quote
The Oscarcast scored a 25.4 rating, down from 2001's previous record low, 26.2, according to final figures released Monday afternoon by Nielsen Media Research.

Creamo, I have a great investment opportunity for you and several others on these BBs- Let's start our own cable network called "The White Channel." We won't allow any people of color or mixed race, we'll jump up and complain loudly if any people of color are afforded recognition for their screen accomplishments and we will be quick to point out their race, or in the case of  black actors the race of their wives, and we can award those white actors with our very own Bubba Awards, where the winners (Keneau Reeves is a great white actor) will be presented with a Cletus, which will look just like an Oscar only it'll be covered in a white sheet complete with hood and  KKK logo on the chest.

On second thought I'm not intrested in hooking up with you at the Reno Air Races in September. We have nothing in common.

Who pointed out their race? Halle “Mixed Doesn’t Look like Whoopy EVER Thank God” Beery. Not me.

 DUH!

Ok, so I can sleep sound knowing you would not come to my house adjacent to the STEAD airport Reno Air Race Pylons and ask to drive my KX250 to a ultimate view?

Fine, although having nothing in common rather than you having me arrested by your groupie buddy for being a BBS bastard, I DO have a Brette Favre signed helmet, and a “Keg ‘O Cue” with packer paint scheme, AND 40 Brats pre-boiled in beer as a sweet pre-race party Fatty and the boys will be at.

Yer choice.

We don't need a white awards show... evidently (until this year), we had our own award show, the Academy.

I'm not certain that Berry deserved the award or not. Maybe she did... maybe she didn't. I'll have to see the other performances before I can form an opinion. Nicole Kidman did rather well in Moulin Rouge! as did Zellweger in Bridget Jones's Diary. Of course, Berry's part was more "serious."

But... Washington... Training Day wasn't worth an Oscar. Somehow the voters have decided that it's okay to give the award to people simply because they wanted to in previous years but the decision went to some other (possibly more deserving) person.

Hell... they did the same thing last year with Russell Crowe. He got an Oscar for his performance in "The Gladiator" because the academy felt bad about not giving him one in "The Insider" and handing the award to Kevin Spacey for "American Beauty."

They should have given it to Sean Penn, but he probably doesn't stand a chance for another 20 years.... oh maybe he does... they'll feel bad about it next year or the next and given him a statue for some less deserving performance.

That said, it's pathetic that some voters will decide not to vote for someone because of their color. It's equally pathetic when the vote because of it.

Uh...I guess my standards can be compromised just this once. I'll bring the beer. Anyway, we do have ONE thing in common- we're  both BBS bastards. Now can I wear the Bret Farve helmet?

Say, "I'm proud to be black!" on any public stage in America, and you will hear thunderous applause.

Say, "I'm proud to be white!" in the same venue and and you will be reviled.

The fact is, the only race not allowed socially to celebrate its own existance is caucasian. I'm part American Indian (I prefer "Injun" ;)) and can say that before saying, "I'm part white". So, rather than get caught up in that ridiculous mess, I prefer to say, "I'm American". Still, these guys make a good point. If Halle Berry hadn't made that horrendous speech about being a trailblazer, would we be discussing the racial aspect at all? Maybe some would, but most wouldn't.

Thing that peeves me about this whole topic on the whole is the, "it's ok for me to make racist remarks, as I am of color, but you can't because you are the oppressor" aspect they all include.

Well when I was in job corps I watched as a friend got his face kicked in by 10 black punks (all of them under 18 yrs).  He almost died that night simply because he was walking on the wrong street on the job corps campus, it was called 21 jump street.  I was "safe" because I played blues on guitar and all the brotha's liked me because I could jamm.  Is he alowed to be proud of being white?  He sure was opressed because of it.  MLK day all the whites had to stay inside out of fear for our lives (even me on that day I was warned by some black friends) So job corps let them run around at 90% riot speed while us "cracka's" couldn't even go to the chow hall to eat all day.  I'm sure Brother King was proud that day.  Fact is there's racists on both ends of the spectrum, and each is just as vile as the other. There are however lots more, I think, who don't care either way and want to just live their lives.

About the Oscar thing, who cares?!  The way I read it is Halley sat up there and called the Academy a bunch of racist and they all aplauded her for it! LOL!  The Academy is the ones who vote on this stuff, not us the consumer.  She's a great actress and a beautiful lady! I didn't see the movie she won for but I'm sure she deserved the Oscar on merit not the color of her skin.  Sidney Poiterie (sp?) is a freakin great actor too so he deserved the lifetime achievement thingy.  Dinzel is a great actor too, though the only roll that I'd give him an Oscar for was what he did in the movie "Glory" (great flick)  I think the Academy did them a great injustice by making this the "black" Oscars.   Now we're all talking about the controversy instead of these people realizing their dreams.

Other than that, Hollywood can kiss my arse. They suck and everybody knows it.  Bunch of hypocrites! support socialistic programs that take my money and give it to the "poor" when these F__ker's could collectively feed every hungry person in this country with how much money they make.  Screw em!
