No way, there would be no end to the whines coming from the US-, luft- and britwobbles :D

Btw, what's the story of the plane in the pic? Looks like it reads somethingsomething of California in the front.

no there wouldnt yaks limited ammo load keep them rare.

A yak3 is a bad bellybutton no doudt but you wont see as many of them as la7s.

I would hope for some early vvs but any new vvs plane would be great.

Sage Yakovlev was making replica Yak-3's powered with Merlin engines with old jigs and tools from fourties. I believe that plane is one of them.

I'm pretty sure that is a model cleverly photgraphed to appear real.

How about the Yak 3T?
« Reply #9 on: March 25, 2002, 08:36:19 PM »
Yak-3T: anti-tank version built in small numbers with 37-mm N-37 cannon and two 20-mm B-20S cannon.

Slobber!

HTC could also easily make the Yak-1 at the same time.

Yak-3 is actually a later yak than the Yak-9u,  it would be pretty balanced in the MA, it's slower than the the yak-9u, turns better (turns 360 degrees in about 3 or 4 less seconds than the yak-9u IIRC and has the same armorment as the yak-9u (which keeps the spray and prayers out of it)  so all in all it's a good plane that would be great for the Russian plane set

Now all the Russians need is a Il-2M3 with 2 37mm cannons :D

Bet not.  Look at the heat shimmers coming off the tarmac; they're the right size relative to a real plane, much too small if it's a model.

Whats up with the reflective tarmac then? I spent countless days on hot flightlines....I've never seen them reflect.

Isnt the Yak-9U the supreme dogfighter for the VVS? Yak-3 is almost identical isnt it? Yak-9U in AH is a beautifull ride.
