While we're on the P-61 topics...

I know a lot, if not most, of you flyers out there really hate the nighttime in AH, but...

If we actually had planes like the P-61, Mosquito NF. II, He-219, P-38 w/Radar, Beaufighter, etc., would you use them in their nightfighting role using on-board specialized radar (not clipboard), and NOT log at nighttime?

How about in a specially-designated nighttime arena, or during special events?

If we had nightfighters, we could encourage night buffing by multiplying the points or perks or whatever between dusk and dawn.

I think this would add a hugely enjoyable dimension to the game. Personally, I like the night as it is now, but something like above would really make it nice for me.

I have a feeling that HT would seriously consider adding these planes if we showed a genuine interest in it.

What do you think?

Here's my take:

1) Yes, add those night fighters. Make the "night fighters" show dot bar 20 miles around them (but only the night fighter pilot can see it on his clipboard). Radar only activates at NIGHT. Addition of searchlights on the ground AND of lights on the night fighters would be awesome.

2) Make each night last just as long as the day. Aka, would be nice if 2 hours of day -> 5 mins orange as sun goes down -> 2 hours of night -> 5 minutes of orange as sun goes up.

3) "Sync" the MA and the CT so that when the MA is at night, the CT is at daytime. That way those that dont like the night can switch to CT when its night in MA and viceversa.
