request to remove night or make it happen only once every 24 hrs

I dont mind night so much (the black sky and stars stuff) because it only lasts 5 minutes, but dusk and dawn are totally intollerable as they last over an hour and make visibility almost as bad as pitch black.

add to that night rolls around every few hours in AH.

most of my squadmates (and I) log off till its over.

check the logs, they will show that when twilight, night and dawn are occuring the numbers drop due to the difficulty involved in seeing the enemy (the actual plane not the icon)


please make dusk,night, twilight only happen once every 24 hrs.

agree, my f/r drops significantly during night and dusk/dawn (Kyro II), which makes it more or less unplayable for me.  I wonder if others have the same problem?

I like the night, dusk and dawn. Shifting it to once in 24 hours (prolly one of the US time zones) will cause many players not being able to fly during night because of time-zone differences.

u dont need a new monitor.
Get thistool ( Powerstrp) and u can adjust ur gamma settings with keys on ur board when u have it open during u fly.
And BTW setting gamme is not cheat

Not trying to be a smart ass, but night is pretty cool. Everytime I log in and it's the sunset time or night I curse, because it means I will not have a fun dogfight (icon chasing not that fun).

In the other hand, night/dusk/dawn allows me to switch to a different mood and it's usually bomber time, tank time, sneacky base capt time. I like to plan/use the cover of it.

It would be great if at night icon range would be lowered to 1K, making the use of radar night fighters a must have. It would be a fun way to introduce them and make people fly them.

Night is supposed to be hard. Night is a about the thrill of the hunt, and finally making that one kill.

If you're upset that night is ruining your 30+ kill streak, then maybe you need to log off once in a while.

I believe that nighttime has a genuine place in a WW2 aerial combat sim, and wouldn't mind seeing a little more of it, but am happy enough with its duration now.

And you're certainly entitled to your opinion.

But let me ask you this:

How many true "nightfighters" do we have available at this time in the planeset?

Prior to the arrival of nightfighters in WW2, what percentage of the air combat happened at night?

We've got dayfighters and we're trying to do day ACM in a nighttime environment. Even our day environment is visually limited compared to what you actually see in RL flying. Night in the arenas... well, I'll be charitable and say that it's not any better.

Maybe later, when nightfighters appear in the planeset.. but now? My opinion and my technique is log or chat.

Even with the advent of night fighters.. I wonder how many "fights" took place.  It seems to me the cloak of darkness and radar were the weapons.  Sneak up on them and suprise.  It doesn't seem there was much in place that could actually track a fighter using evasives.

Right now night time translates to shooting at icons.  That is all.  The night/sunrise/sunset effect is by far the best I've seen in an on-line sim... but it serves no real purpose.

Now that the "gee-wiz" factor is wearing off for most... how about giving it a rest for a bit?  Nothing I hate more than loggin in to play for an hour and seeing the sun is just disappearing in the west.  I log right back out.
