Just got this email from Pyro this morning. There was a big move made today, that I think you all should know about. I'll just paste the email here:
"Hi John, we've been pretty busy this weekend working out the details on some things that will transform Aces High into the high-powered money making machine that we've wanted it to be all along. First, we've made offers to a key member of the community to help us improve gameplay in AH. Therefore, I'm pleased to announce, effective immediately:
Lazs has accepted a position as Aces High Gameplay Czar . Lazs' multiple years of positive and constructive suggestions on how to make AH more fun has finally swayed us to bring him onboard. We look for Lazs to grow our customer base in the MA and CT by eliminating the over-hyped bombers, reducing gameplay choices and focusing on what really makes AH rise above the plethora of other online sims out there: furballing. Yep. You know, HiTech and I were really out of the loop on how important furballing was to the general AH community, and thanks to Lazs we've finally woken up. Man, this is going to be great. Hitech is kicking himself for spending all that time trying to develop more interesting and varied forms of gameplay choices for everyone. He realized that Lazs was actually right, and that most people who have been flying online flight sims for years and years, really only want to furball.
Yep, ol Lazs is gonna be a great asset for us. His personal charm and ability to use logic without hyperbole is really going to help us contract our gameplay options for the community. I mean, the man is brilliant! Who would have thought that the solution to growing a business and making money is to shrink your options and choices for your player base? Whew, I'm glad that he's onboard with us now. Dale and I are feeling great about being able to stop development and just rest on our laurels.
Just thought you'd like to know this ahead of time before I make the announcement.
Talk to you later,
Doug"
Wow, congrats Lazs! You've really earned this, and I'm really looking forward to your contributions to the community!
