Congrats on figuring it all out. :) The end result of video in Bink format is very sharp.  I like it--well done.  I'd toejamcan the Hitler Serenade background music though.

sancho i added it for a joke after finding it on a site hehe.

it was supposed to poke you allied typed in the eye ;)

but i guess it is a bit too 'touchy' :) I searched for an absolute age to find music similar to yours (action/warfilm type stuff) but could find none :(. and without sound its very dull, so i went for controversy!! :p

i have found a fantastic wave for a RAF film so  I have to go dig out some of my BOB stuff and make a film so i can use it.

btw i thought the song was quite funny really, whenever i hear that sort of crap i think of freddy star dressed as a german officer marching the goose step taking the right piss :D but i guess others may not laugh as i did. ill change it as soon as i find something to put in instead :)

thanks wotan.

those samples will certainly make the films sound more like LW WW2 propaganda stuff. :) hehe you Germans sing funny ;)

btw theres no offensive songs there? I dont want to sample any nasty songs or anything onto my films.I noticed some had SS in the title? little bit worrying :( but i assume they are military not political songs?
I hope so seeing as how they are on a web page with folksongs and 'silent night' :D

However some will tell you your a Nazi Hitler lover just because you lw those evil Nazi planes. Then on top of that you have the gaul to put your films to music written by and song for the firty bastiges :)

oldman and seeker will show upo any minute to tell ya what a nazi you are......

but hey what else is new :)

WTG Hazed!!!

Just got a chance to check out the boards...nice to see you have it worked out.

(P.S....close out your < a href > tag after the second film so that the "Film 3" and "Film 4" doesn't point to the 'images/bobcomp.bik' file ;). You used the /Font and /P tags, but forgot the /A.)

[EDIT]
I just downloaded the player and watched the films...nice!

So now I have a question for you...I downloaded the basic version of Bink...will it let me edit films the way you have? Or is that a 'paid' version thing?
[/EDIT]

shadow i downloaded the bink & smack free version.

it doesnt allow you to edit out scenes (as far as i know) and most prgrammes wont recognise the bink format for editing so far.

so i save as uncompressed avi first, then I edit the films, and then I binkit  to 10% of the original, change 25fps to 12fps (sometimes add smooth at 3).You can bink it again to compress more and more and preview it whilst you do it so if it looks too rough you can stop it and redo it at lower compression %.Reallly cool feature. And if im trying to make the film look aged I add in the brightness(i'll post a short clip for film 3 if you like which is a pretty good effect, its only short but even so at only 500kb its pretty amazing compression)

Bink also adds sound very well (and simply!) but if you convert back to avi using the bink converter so far ive lost the sound again. This is why really i like to keep them in bink format.Ive tried adding sound with other programmes but they seem to distort the sound a lot more than bink does when they compress the films or if non compress take up a lot of space.

I must say wotan has recommended  real producer basic and its also a superb compressor. If you need small files and dont mind the odd blurry segment theres nothing that comes close to the size it makes the files.(see my other posts for wotans links)

for editing the films ive been using virtualdub.Pretty easy to use as far as cutting out scenes and appending the avi's.
 ok? :D
