For Country Hoppers Only
« on: April 01, 2002, 02:17:24 PM »
Hello to all of my fellow country hoppers out there!

I've been following these boards a while now and it seems everyone has a particular "point" (you know the word I want to use)  about how thier country is always outnumbered, or how thier team shows no cooperation.

I thought it might be interesting to see how these perceptions hold up to the objectivity of pilots who fly for all countries.

In my last few tours I've flown as all three countries and generally have found that each side does tend to have strengths and weaknesses that set them apart from the others.

So how bout it Country Hoppers?  Who really are the "Hoard Warriors"?  Who works the best as a team?  Who has the most heros? or Villians?  Who whines on Ch2 the most? and Bonus: (if you dare) who has the best pilots?

I agree! Nothing I can' stand worse than seeing some guys handle and squad I.D. that conflicts with the plane they're flying.

Like JoeGoblowmi of the VMF-69 "Fighting Boweviles" squad found flying in a NIKI.  Or Yukin-Ubercolin of JG-99 "Maximum Strudel" flying an LA-7.

 Pisses me off

Maybe you should re-read my post and let us know in which country you get the best deals on your crack.

I've done my share of country hopping, and it seems to me they're more alike than they are different. They all got one or two "organizers" who throw up successful missions, more than a few wannabe generals shouting out instructions and wondering why no one joins their missions, lemmings who furball in one place while the other front gets rolled up, a few super-aces, and a few score-potatos.  Not really much to chose between them.

The MOL rotate every 2 months or so. There is no single "best" country, they are all fluid in the way they change from tour to tour. I don't know haw many times we've voted to move to a "country" only to lament the decision after only a week or so in that country.

It's all relitive to ones flying style though. If you're into quick fights and lots of targets then the team getting gangbanged would probably be a good choice. If your into mission oriented stuff then a more orginized country would be a good choice, but that choice really depends on what time frame you tend to log on.

I tend to take a simpler approach to the whole "best country" thing. I figure that they all suck and it's my job to make which ever country I fly for suck a bit less :D

My philosophy is the opposite of MrLars.  I find out which country is doing the best, and then I make it suck a little more.  :D
