This is screenshot from the Ndisles map. I'm flying over the ocean.

So my question would be, why does the ocean look like a mountain range?
(and I have the same problem when flying offline too. I dunno why, but this graphics bug popped up yesterday for no apparent reason.)

I bet you accidentally toggled your viewing range to short. Just guessing, as that picture is so compressed I can't really tell what it is. Check your key map and flip your view range to Long. Sorry, I can't recall the default key to do that.
