HT now with the fields back where buffs can knock out fields again(which I like btw) can we pls get some manned 88s for at least some Defence against strato buffs..what ya'all think.

obtw can i have a sand bag for the field ack

Good idea. This has been a need in the game for some time. It is entirely to easy to deack a field as the game is now. Adding an effective player controlled gun like the 88 would help a lot.

Agreed, I've deacked fields with 109's recently, very easy to do.

Mannable 88's are in the editor but don't work, Hopefully in the future we will see them in AH.

How many perks for a manned 88?

On a related note, does the ack I see up at 35k actually do anything but look nice? I've gotten to the point where I totally ignore the black puffs; I've never been dinged by one.

I agree bases need better high altitude defense. Currently at 35K you might as well be in god mode.

Good idea - not sure how youd work the timed fuzes, but good idea. Ive always been of the opinion that sniper ack was not the answer to airfield defense but a MASSIVE load of realisticly accurate gun stations, all of different calibers of course - 7.92/303's all the way up to 88's.

one thing i've noticed about WB is that the AA emplacements have people in them!

its the one thing I wish we had

some artwork but it'd make the field feel more alive

Puck, I'm not sure about the field 88's but the fleet AAA's are murderers.

A couple days ago I was defending a field from cv attack, and in half an hour I died twice to a heavy AAA direct hit. Both instances I was slowly turning and climbing after a dogfight and wham it sent me to tower.

I started playing with fleet guns last night off line. Got to the point I could pop the circling drones (notice HiTech and Pyro aren't in that list; hmmm...) without hardly thinking. I'm sure a maneuvering a/c would chew me up, so don't think I'm getting cocky about fleet AAA gunning

I still think the big field ack is show at this point. Never been pinged, dinged, or singed by it, and I've flown straight and level for long periods of time right through the middle in B17s. That's a big target.
