He 111 was made in many variants throughout the war, even with floats and as a "double"!!
Although slower than the Ju88, it had had its good sides, such as a very flexible bomb-bay. It could carry hundreds of little bomblets, or up to 8 1000 lbs bombs on short missions.
There is no proper eastern front or BoB without the 111
Apart from that, it is a very beautiful plane.
Now the B25 is a must-have. Slower than the B26, it was more nimble and versatile. Just a question when...
But for those who want a monster-cannon equipped plane, it's probably easiest to feature the tse-tse, which is a Mosquito with a 57mm anti-shipping cannon in the nose, 4x.303 for other (ping*) purposes, and bombs or rockets under the wings...yeahh.
With that one you could maybe nail the acks while they are outta range,,,:D
