ROFLES. And where is this strange land of Nerdan located?

Thanks for being a good sport Viper. Personally, I think the A-Wing is more like a Spitfire. Small and maneuverable, with limited speed and firepower.

I have been reading about the RPG's you guys are playing and wanted to share one with you.  If you are looking for immersion this one is the way to go.  You just slip right into it and can totally lose yourself if you’re not careful.  Time just seems to fly by.  What it involves is assuming lots of different and often unpleasant responsibilities.  You get to meet and interact with lots of interesting characters.  Some of them seem really cool but turn out to be really dangerous or stupid (sometimes concurrently).  Others appear worthless at the outset but after awhile you learn they can really help you in your quest and you even come to enjoy their company if you give them a chance.  You often will find yourself in situations where you step back and say, "Whoa!  How'd I end up here?"  Other times, really cool crap will happen but you'll be too immersed in nit picky toejam to enjoy it.  And the costumes!  You get to wear all kinds of stuff.  Some of it makes you feel powerful and charming, other stuff makes you feel old, dumpy and sad.  What's wild is other characters may see it totally the opposite way that you perceive it.  Oh yeah, that perception thing doesn't just apply to the costumes.  It applies to everything!  Nothing is absolute.  Fact and fiction swirl around each other.  Truth and beauty get muddled up with deceit, cruelty and shame. It's totally wild.  You can't beat the cost either.  You can play it at any time because all of the costs are driven right into the game.  Cost is really subjective too.  Really cool stuff that costs a fortune can turn out quickly to be meaningless burdensome crap.  While little stuff, maybe even something given to you by a child, can turn out to be your most priceless treasure (be careful because that one is easily overlooked in your rush to grab the flashy gaudy crap).

Yep, I've been playing this one for a lot longer than I feel like I have.  One day it'll end and the scary thing is you won't know when that'll happen.  Some folks believe there's another RPG you get invited to after this one but nobody can really verify that.  So, I guess I'll play this one like tomorrow could be my last turn.  I have to remember to keep looking beyond the obvious to see the really important stuff.  I hear that's the only way to win.

:D

38L and A-wing? thats ridiculous.

"X-Wing=P-51-D
B-Wing=P-47-D-30
Y-Wing=P-47-D-25
A-Wing=P-38-L
Snowspeeder=P-47-D-11
C-47=Rebel Transport

Empire To Luftwaffe
Me-109-G-10=TIE Fighter
Fw-190-D-9=TIE Intersept
Ju88-A-4=TIE Bomber
Panzer MkIV=AT-AT
Otswind=AT-ST

Misalaneous
Me-110-G-2=Slave1 "

My take:

X-Wing=P-47's
A-Wing=P51's
Y-Wing=P38
B-Wing=Mossie
Z-95 = SpitV

For LW I agree, and add:
Tie Advanced=Me262
Starwing=Bf110G2

Ok to help, here are the stats on SW Fighters:

X-Wing- This is an all around fighter. Good shields, good armament, and Avg speed.
Armed with: 4 x Med. Blaster Cannons
                    2 x Proton Torpedo Tubes w/t 3 Torpedos per tube

Z-95- This is the X-Wings older Brother, it looks almost like the X-wing except if does not have the split wing function. The stats are almost the same except it also lacks 2 Blaster Cannons.
Armed with: 2 x Med. Blaster Cannons
                    2 x Proton Torpedo Tubes w/t 3 Torpedos per tube

Y-Wing- This is the Rebel Bomber. VERY SLOW, but tough as a damn Battleship.
Armed with: 2x Hvy. Blaster Cannons (fixed to forward)
                    2x Ion Cannons (turret)
                    4x Proton Torpedo Tubes w/t 5 Torpedos per tube
                    1x Ion Bomb Bay (charge rate of 1 bomb per 10 secs, unlimited supply)

(side note: these are the stats for my "Private" Y-wing hehe)

A-Wing- This is the Rebel intercepter. Fast....VERY fast, but VERY weak. Light shields, 1 -2 good shots and boom!
Armed with: 2 x Med. Blaster Cannons
                    2 x Proton Torpedo Tubes w/t 3 Torpedos per tube

B-Wing- This is one of the best fighters ever made. Good shields, good speed, and good armament. Plus it has a cocpit that rotates to keep the pilot always on traget. Very Sweet fighter.
Armed with: 3 x Med. Blaster Cannons
                    1 x Ion Cannon
                    2 x Proton Torpedo Tubes w/t 6 Torpedos per tube

When I find my book I'll post the COMPLETE stats on all the fighters. hehe

Yes I know, I'm never going to get laid my whole life ;)

ok you SWG fans...  how many of you post on their forums?  ;)  I check in from time to time and I've never seen any names I recognize.

edit: oh yeah, anyone can go look up the manufacturers of the ships on http://www.starwars.com  ;)  Incom T-65 X-Wing for example.

ooo, the Z-95 Headhunter actually used British style variant namings at first.  "These initial models (the Mark I, or Z-95mk1) were very maneuverable in an atmosphere."  :D
