Dam 1000mph Trains

i was messin around in a H2H arena looking for trains in the stalingrad arena.....i saw one and dove.....then ZOOM>....little bugger took off faster than a 262 could go...thants not right

Maybe it was a TGV train?

I found a 250 mph river barge on the Tunisia terrain.  I think the custom terrains are going to have this problem.  It looks like the trains and barges travel at whatever speed is necessary to go from source to destination in about 10 minutes.

(BTW:  As any worthwhile AH pilot would do, I tried to land on the river barge going 250 MPH.  I was less than sucessful.)

REally? I thought i had fixed that. Seams there WAS a misunderstanding on my part about the speed of convoys/trains, and barges. What I thought was no matter the lenght of track/road the trucks/barges and trains had a predetermaned speed. What really happens is they take exactly 10 minutes to run the lenght of the track no matter how far distance it is. So what happens is the farther or longer the track is the faster it goes. SO  I had to go into the TE and shorten all the tracks to a lenght no longer than 25 squares (25 miles) If they STILL run at 250 I will have to shorten the tracks even more.  So by my calculations the barges would still be going 150 MPH, still to fast. trying to get the barges at the right speed about 25 knots or less would mean they could be  no longer than 3-4 tiles away from the destination field, Thats just about ontop of it's starting and ending point:(
