Yes, i agree with you in that point. The tiffie can't accel as fast as a Dora.
But you can use a short nose down in the tiffie to get back to manoeuvring speed.
Anyway, i consider it no good idea in any plane to fly it down to stall speed. Only situation i would do that is a hard fought knifefight, were i know i am backuped by 1-2 members of my squad.

yep stall fighting is a bad abit I have :)

When you can fly more than 15/20 minutes a day (and not every day :() you don't care of survivabilty or strategie you just want to have fun :)

Flat turn in low speed in the tiffie and it out turnras a Dora without trouble though, it turns with a 190 A5 (even a bit better unless the A5 uses 2 guns)

straffo, i can usually fly about 45-60 mins a day at the moment.

I made it a habbit to look at it like a "real mission". I look at the map, choose an area of action, jump into my trusty Dora and try to survive till the end of that mission. Most often equals about 45 mins playtime. With a little luck i usually bring 1-3 kills home with me. Log out and say to myself "One more day i survived in the virtual skies". :)

I'm starting to fly the tiffie again this tour- i haven't really flown it for a few.   I love flying this plane for base defense against fleet attacks.  After you take off and reach 280mph you're pretty much untouchable against CV A/C.  All you have to do is fly in the direction of the cv and shoot whatever crosses your path, then turn around and do same heading towards the base.:D  Although it didn't quite work yesterday as all the hangars got knocked out and i was one of the only people left alive. As i attempted to land about 30 cons came to strafe me- i almost made it too.

What i do love about the tiffie is it's 4 hispanos.  Some people prefer to only fire 2 cannon at a time but i believe that's throwing away one of the biggest advantages the tiffie has- it's snapshot kill ability.  When you fire with 4 cannon there's so much lead in the air you're gonna hit your target.   The 4 hispanos almost make up for it's awful roll rate, there's nothing like seeing someone trying  to perform a scissors and blasting them as they pass your gunsight while you're flying straight and level.:D

I haven't seen orel in a while, when i first started to fly the tiffie as a fighter a few tours back i met orel in the skies.  I was amazed that someone else flew the tiffie as a fighter.:)   In that flight we sort of winged together, dragging cons and clearing each other's 6, we both got about 4 or 5 kills.  I dunno if orel remembers this but i do cause it was a kinda special event for me cause i met someone else that flew the tiffie.:D

I fly typh alot, and typically use BnZ tactics.  Its great for buzzing furballs!

Against a higher target I try to keep my speed 250+.  I turn nose low into his pass, as he gets within about d1.2 I roll wings level and barrel roll across the top of the con watching for the direction he is intending on pulling up.  Soon as he starts his pull up I try to let my nose come down across his path, and use all 4 guns for the snapshot..  A hit along the fuselage is usually all it takes...  You will hit his engine leaving him smoking, or his cockpit, vaporizing him, or remove the tail +) so all is well.

Sure he remembers it... Not only he remembers it but he talks about it :) Are you sure you two just winged togedher? :D  Unfortunately since he is engaged in a '1 on 1' in RL (umm you know girlfriends and stuff...) he does not fly so often anymore... And when he is online we fly Tempests ;)  What else should we do with the perks? Burn them!  And I must say that due Orel's 'perfect' ideas (like to attack higher B-17s and stuff) we manage to burn our perks quite well...

And Snapshots are prolly the most effective weapon of Typhoon...

I've flown the 190s a fair bit and they don't bleed E in turns as much as the Typh does in my opinion.

The Typhoon is just like heaven for me.... definitely my main ride and it's good for A2A or A2G sorties..... BnZ or turnfight, it is just one good fun plane to be in!

Keep flying it and have fun RUSH!  :)

Use rudder to assist roll in the Typhoon, especially at low speeds.  It's the most underrated plane in the game.  4 great cannon, and if you fly it right nothing except a 262 can catch you.

Nhaa, think TA152 more underrated, but Tiffie not far from it :)

Typhs are great for goon hunting.  Right before a base is about to fall, charge through a gaggle of 20 or so enemies and nail the goons...  It's great sport.  :)  If you keep your speed up on the run in and DON'T turn, no-one can catch you and you'll get at least a couple of kills each pass as you bounce guys that can't see you against all of the bogeys chasing you.

25?!

well guys you see that Orel's ideas are sometimes just excelent! :D But I suppose everyone has his weak days... Few days ago some 109 tried to attack my Ki-67 from High-6... So I thought cool! Some dweeb to try the upper 20mm on :)  So I shred him to pieces... SYSTEM: You shot down Ecke  And yesterday I was ruling the skies in 109G-10 and had racked 7 kills already when I saw a lower B-26... Muahaha you gonna die you buff dweeb flashed through my brain as I dived on him... ehm... from his High-6   He creamed me pretty well... But I got him too... We were both hanging on chutes about 50 yards away... :D If we had sidearms modeled (M1911 would be nice) I would kill his chute :p
