email rejecting support@hitech... & I lost all my perkies =(
« on: April 08, 2002, 12:35:40 AM »
Hi,

I've tried to email my problem with missing perkies   (below) to support@hitechcreations.com and got the message below back via my ISP. :(

Anyone able to point out why I can't email HTC?

Spotcha in the Air,

Subject:  email bounce and perkies wiped out - raxx

Hi,

I logged in after downloading and installing the 109to1092.exe patch from the auto updater.  As I logged in I was prompted for a game id.  I typed in raxx, (which is my usual login), then was prompted for an answer to a question about making plastic model aeroplanes.

I then flew a sortie in an N1K2 and on landing went to check how many perk points I got for the sortie.  Much to my horror I found all my previous perk points have been wiped away, (approx 120 in fighters, 300'ish in bombers and about the same in vehicles, 300 or so).

Is it something I've done or that got overwritten in the update?  The login name and password appear to still work fine so I'm at a loss as to what caused this.

Then when I tried to email support@hitechcreations.com last night my email was rejected with an invalid sender so I'm trying again, (from the same address), just in case it was a transient fault.

Any help you can provide to get me back my perk points would be much appreciated,

Aaron Stone

aka raxx (aka -raxx- on the BB)

Ok,..I have pulled the IP's of that ISP's mail servers from our block lists.  You should be able to send email to HTC without any problem.
I get a high amount of SPAM from this ISP, but will look for another way to block it.

Thanks Skuzzy,

It appears to be emailing fine now.  A quick question: where are you getting the spam from?

xtra.co.nz?

Or is it between there and the HTC mail server?

From xtra.co.nz.  I do not know if they allow spammers or not, or if they are running open relay servers.  I have not had a chance to check.

They're pretty strict about open relay servers skuzzy.

Xtra is _the_ ISP for NZ. They did get on the 'spam' lists when they had a squeak-fight with the local ORBS guy who also ran an ISP and added them along with some very reputable ISPs here to the ORBS list.

They are owned by the monopolistic telco here and MSN,  so are also complete bastards to deal with, deny all wrongs, and act is if they created life all on earth :)
