Sorry not a caption but.......

I just showed this pic to my co-worker (an A-4 pilot and instructor during the VN war) who said "thats nothing!"

I guess he would always finish his training sessions 20-30 minutes early, tell the trainee to relax "I got the airplane" and proceeded to "ring the sucker out". He went so far as to let his wife know the particular stretch of beach to be on with the kids so Daddy could put on a show. He would take the A-4 to "near supersonic" (he said stuff tended to fall off when you went supersonic in A-4) and then did a pass on the beach that was low enough to kick up sand, turned out over the water to make a rooster tail then shot back out of sight.

He even did a high speed pass through the Grand Canyon once on a deployment to Yuma. Said it was "just like Star Wars". You would be court marshalled for the same thing today, but back then things were looser.

I am slowly getting more good stuff out of this guy!

Urban AirForce legend has an F-111 on the deck dropping toilet paper on a CV group during an excercise.  That's one I'd like to see a picture of.  :D
