Ok, so I was watching the news yesterday and it had a segment over pork barrel spending by the government and that the amount was now at some 20 billion dollars. I laughed thinking what the hell can all that money be going to. Well, as of watching the local news last night, now I know.
A suburban town east of Kansas City by a few miles named Blue Springs made the list. You see it appears that someone was frightened over a trend of some teenagers to dress in dark clothes, where excessive makeup, listen to “devil” music and so on. It appears that it terrified someone so much so that they felt it needed the intervention of the federal government in the form of money to combat.
The fair city of Blue Springs received 300,000 dollars to address the “Goth problem” with its teenagers.
Give me a flippin’ break. It’s a beautiful area, somewhat rural but not really, and has some great schools and housing additions. As a matter of fact there is a good chance I’ll be moving there by the end of the year. I should have noticed all the problems of Goth’s roaming the streets looking for the next victim to hold down and die there hair black. My God, the horror!
Does everyone grow up and forget that it’s pretty much an unwritten rule that rebellion of some sort is a necessity of reaching maturity. I really wish they’d a showed the individual who was responsible for appropriating 300 grand of my tax money for something as utterly asinine as this.
I wonder what else I need to be saved from?
