Ditto the 190A5 and the Hurri2. But my favorite is the 51B, something that only Sirloin and Nefarious and I seem to be flying! I've never even seen another one in the MA, a vastly underrated plane INHO. I think people get put off because it has ONLY 4 50s--but that's more than enough to do the damage if your gunnery is good. (Small magazines are the real problem). And it's slighly slower speed (relative to the 51D) means that if you get the angle right and use flaps it's more than capable of turning with a Spit long enough to work a solution. It's so under-used that the perk rewards for knocking down just about anything are pretty good.
I'm actually really enjoy flying these mid-war workhorses. You need to pick your fights, but I've also shot down LA-7s in a one-on-one without too much trouble. I'm no hotshot by any means, but all my multiple kill sorties this tour have been in the 51B.
