I have seen a few posts on nose art but they did not answer my ??s

1 Will the nose art appear only on our squad planes or will i see it on every other plane also( like the AW skins)

2 Our squad has nose art but how do we implement it into AH?

3 When online do (I havent seen one yet) others see the squads unique art (ie, if two different squads were side by side would you see the different nose art for each squad)

Hi Swanie, welcome to AH.

1. yes, only on your squad's planes.

2. your CO needs to upload it. The instructions are on this website, and are very simple.

3. Yes, each squad has unique art, and everyone else can see it (you have to get pretty close, though)

If you've ever been in the Main Arena online even once, then all of the other squads' nose art has been downloaded into a folder on your computer named Squads, inside your HTC folder. Each one of these files is a BMP, and each one is named for the CO of each squad (you'll see a file named "Dux" in there)

Maybe someday there'll be a way to put aircraft names and custom skins on our planes, but until then, the nose art does a nice job of adding a little uniqueness. It looks nice when flying formation with your squaddies.

Hi Swanie,
Go to the Help section / Game Overview / Squads...

at the bottom you will find this:

The Upload Noseart button can be used by the squad CO to upload a 64x64 noseart graphic. Graphics are not displayed in the game nor on the
web page until they have been reviewed by the HTC staff. The transparency color to use in order to make your noseart blend into the plane is
{176, 176, 176}. To upload a graphic, make sure your 64x64 bitmap file is named with your Game ID and is in your ../HTC/Aces High/squads/
directory. Next, click the Upload Noseart button. Once the noseart is approved, your squad members may force the new image to download by
deleting the existing noseart in their ../HTC/Aces High/squads directory.
